Weddington Quilts Unusual Designs

Wanda Weddington of rural route Cassville reports that she has quilted 1,000 quilts since July of 1997 when her business began.  The unusual quilt above belongs to George of Aurora, George appliques the silhouettes then brings the quilts to Weddington to be machine quilted.  She has quilted around 200 for him since 1999 when he first began bringing them to her.  Weddington says it takes about three hours to do a double size quilt.

The coyotes pictured in the middle, with roosters turned towards them signifies one of George's hobbies.

Another quilt was waiting to be put into the frames as Weddington finished the coyote quilt.  George designed from wall hangings in his home.

Keith took this picture of Dallas (in the far background) from the top platform of the tower after he installed the strobe light which must function at all times for aircraft warning.  Should the strobe light burn out, an alarm goes off.  Keith had to climb the tower and change out the bulb.
