Firstly you need to know what is meant by "baulk line",
The "baulk line" is the line that you see drawn across the left hand end of the table
The tourney works like this >>>>
You must take every ball in hand from behind it - (to the left of it) - just like you are required to do when you break and shoot 'up' the table to the right - never back to the left
Failure to do so results in the loss of the game
