OK! I’ve joined the League!

Now What Happens?

Firstly – WELCOME! We hope your online experience with us is a competitive and positive one!

If you don’t already know - we are a type of Club, if you like.

Formed of like-minded Yahoo Pool players that wish to take the game one step further by playing competition games (league games) and Tournaments amongst ourselves.

The obvious advantages of this are –

We ALWAYS play in the same room - All MIxed Up - under the Beginners room tab.

We get a lot more fun and enjoyment playing against our fellow league members.

We meet new friends.

We NEVER get “force forfeited” by (league)club members.

We have an aversion to bad language – not that we are prudes, but for the main reason that we have young kids online and they deserve our respect.

You will play league games and Tournaments on a regular basis, but there is no hard and fast requirement for you to play everyday or at certain times.

Having said that however, if you don’t play for a period of 21 days then the ladder administrators, (not the league administrators), have an automatic purge built into their software that will delete you from the league; but you may still rejoin at a later date if you so wish.

It is in your interest to play within the 21 day period to avoid this unpleasantness.

To ask for a league game all you need to do is type in the lobby – ss game anyone?

To accept a league game from another member all you do is type in – me pls inv.

You may play the same opponent in league games only 5 times per day, but you may also come up against that same player in a tournament which does not count as a league game.

If you play a league game and lose – go to the main league page www.myleague.com/straightshots

in the left frame see REPORT LOSS – Click this, enter opponent’s ID and hit enter.

Always do this as soon as possible after the game so updates can be made by the ladder administrator’s software.

If you play a league game and win – you need to DO NOTHING, your opponent should have reported the game.

If, after a reasonable time, you have not seen the game reported, (check Daily News) then please contact your opponent from that game and check whether or not the game has been reported – please do this privately and not in the lobby for all to see.

Should the game not show up on the Daily News in 24 hours contact a Head TD or an Admin who will then follow through on it for you.
