mother's Christmas cookies
4 large eggs
3 cups flour
4 1/4 cups powdered sugar (1pound)
1teaspoon baking powder
1/2-1 teaspoon anise extract
anise seed (opt)
1. In large mixing bowl, beat eggs at high speed until thick & lemon
colored.
2. continue beating while adding sugar slowly; add flour baking powder,
& anise extract-beat together completely.
3. On a well-floured board, roll out some of the dough with rolling pin to
1/2" thickness; If you have a rolling pin with patterns lightly flour then roll
over dough try to keep it at 1/2". If you do not have this rolling pin then Just
cut dough in to 1by1 squares>
4. Place cookies 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets ( my mom would put
cookies on newpaper on the dinning table), and allow them to dry uncovered
overnight (12hrs).
5. When ready to bake,preheat oven 250-300"& place on1/2" apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. bake 25-30 minutes until firm but still white. 6. Remove to wire racks ( mom put them back on paper) to cool.
7. Store in a tightly covered container with some anise seeds.(can be stored without). 8. Flavor develops fully after about two weeks. ( if you can keep everyone out of them)
Punch Bowl Cake
1 box French Vanilla Cake Box
1 16 oz container of strawberries
1 24 oz container of strawberries
1 16 oz container of strawberry glaze
2 cans crushed pineapple (drained)
2 small containers of cool whip (thawed)
1 small pkg. of chopped walnuts (optional)
1) Prepare cake as directed on box.
2) Slice strawberries and mix with the glaze
3) When cake is done, break in half, set half aside and break other half in
pieces on bottom of
punch bowl.
4) Then layer 1/2 of strawberries on top of cake, then 1 can of
pineapple, and 1 container of cool whip.
5) Repeat the layer process
6) Garnish with walnuts or sliced/whole strawberries
7) Refrigerate until ready to serve POTATO SOUP 5 LBS OF POTATOS

PEEL POTATOS;LIKE YOU WOULD FOR MASHED POTATOS. BOIL THEM. IN ANOTHER POT BOIL HAMB. PUT IN WITH POTATOS USE THE BROTH AND PUT IN THE BISCUITS TORN INTO 4'S . WHEN DONE MIX ALL TOGETHER AND ADD MILK ABOUT 2 CUPS . SALT AND PEPPER. white chocolate cheesecake 3 pkgs 8 ounces each cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
16 ounce sour cream
1pkg 12 ounces white chocolate chips
graham cracker crumbs
cheesecake pan
preheat oven to 350
in a mixing bowl combine cream cheeses, sugar and
extracts mix on med speed for 5 mins, cream white chocolate chips over a double
broiler till smooth and creamy constantly stirring, fold chocolate into cream
cheese mixture and mix on med another 5 minutes, then fold in sour cream and mix
yet another 5 minutes. Now mix the crumbs for the crust read directions on
package and press firmly into bottom of cheesecake pan fold cream cheese mixture
into the graham crumbs in cheesecake pan
bake at 350 for 30 mins cool 10 mins and then
refrigerate for at least 12 hours
