1 RED CANASTA

(Tables set for 2-2)

You need one RED CANASTA to Go Out. You can make as many Canastas as you want, in any order, but you need ONE RED CANASTA to go out!! A Red Canasta can be made first, second, third on in any order. The rest can be black or additional Red Canasta's but you MUST have one red to go out!!!

3 STRIKES

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. In this tourney you have to have EXACTLY 3 canasta's (red or black) before you can go out. No more then 3 canasta's and no less then 3 canasta's. You can have more then 3 canasta's but you can not go out. If you don't have your 3 canasta's or have over 3 canasta's and go out, it will be a dq.

38 SPECIAL

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE.
This is a combination tourney of the two games of crazy 3's and crazy 8's.
You can not go out until all the Red 3'S are on the board. And you must have a canasta for every red 3 you get. This is played as cut. If you don't get any of the red 3's you'll still need 1 canasta to go out. All 8's are like black 3's, if there is an 8 on top of the pile you cannot pick it up, you cannot meld 8's ever until you are going out (THAT MEANS YOU MELD YOUR 8'S, THEN BLACK 3'S AND THEN DISCARD TO GO OUT). Use your 8's as wilds to block the pile. You cannot pick up an 8 ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the 8's as wilds, keeping your 2's and jokers for canasta's or until needed.

50/90

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This is a exact meld tourney, you CAN NOT use any wilds when melding 15, 50 and 90 exact meld. You CAN use wilds when melding exact 120 meld. Your meld has to show on table before making any canasta's so your opponent can count your meld. If a wild is used when making 15, 50 or 90 exact meld you will be dq'ed.

120 MELD

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. 120 meld whole game (no 50's or 90's meld's). IT'S NOT EXACT MELD. It's 120+ meld the WHOLE GAME. You have to show your meld on the table before making any canasta's, so 120+ meld can be counted by opponent and/or TD.

ACES 2 MELD

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. You MUST meld with Aces (you can use wilds and you can pick up the pile as long as you meld Aces with your meld at the same time) NO aces NO meld.

BLACK HOLE

(TABLE SET 2/2 PROTECTED)

IN THIS GAME ONLY BLACK CANASTA'S CAN BE MADE. YOU CANNOT USE BLACK 3'S UNLESS YOU ARE GOING DIRECTLY OUT.  REMEMBER NOT TO THROW THOSE BLACK 3'S AND NO RED CANASTA'S.

BLACKJACK

(TABLES SET 2-2)

BLACKJACK EQUALS 21 (TWENTY-ONE). And so in Canasta, your canastas must equal 21. If you put up Aces as your first canasta, any additional canastas you put up MUST equal 21.  Anything other than 21 and you lose. You must have 21, or BLACKJACK to go out. NO MORE. NO LESS!

In Las Vegas if you go over 21 you “BUST”. Same thing here.  If  your canastas total OVER 21, you LOSE and the game is called.

HINTS:  ACES score as 1(one) OR 11(eleven) in BLACKJACK

If you put up Aces as your first canasta, and then you put up Kings, you have reached 21. No more canastas may go up. Even if you have more canastas they may not go up, you have reached 21. The only exception is if your 3rd canasta going up is a "10 pointer" (10,J,Q,K or a combination 6 and 4 equals 10. 7 and 3 equals 10 etc) Some brave souls may opt to use the ACES as one point vs. eleven points to try for more canastas. But be careful! You must equal 21 (BLACKJACK) to go out. NO MORE. NO LESS!

If you put up 7's and 4's, you have 11(eleven). You need a "10 pointer" to go out (10,J,Q,K or any combination totaling 10.)

BLOODY CUT

(Tables set for 2-1)

Your first canasta MUST be red, you only need 1 canasta to go out. You can make as many black canastas as you wish but only after red is made first.

BONANZA

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. You can't use wildcards until the draw pile is 20 cards are less. You can't use wildcards for anything. Example: Freezing the pile, making black canasta's, or melding. When the draw pile gets to 20 cards or less, you can use wildcards as usual.

BOOK ENDS

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. You have to meld 4's and Ace's FIRST (LIKE BOOKENDS) you can't meld or canasta any other cards until you've got your 4's and Ace's melded first. You may meld your 4's on one turn and then meld your Ace's on another turn. You may also meld your 4's and Ace's at the same time but no other cards may be meld until your next turn. Once you've got your 4's and Ace's melded you may meld or canasta any other cards and go out.

CANASTA BINGO

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. You must have 3 in a row (vertically or horizontally) before you make any canasta's. Example: 4, 5, 6 or 4, 8, Q ETC. If you make a Canasta before you have your 3 in a row you will be DQ'ed. You may take the pile at any time but remember no canasta's until you have your 3 in a row.

CANASTA LEADS

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. You MUST meld with a canasta as your initial meld each hand!!!! That means you need to make a canasta from your hand to the board along with your other meld.

CANASTA ROUNDS

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE.
This is a Progressive rounds, canasta game based on the number of rounds. This means the more rounds you play, the more canastas you need to go out. The following chart summarizes it.
RND 1** , you need 1 nasta to go out
RND 2** , you need 2 nastas to go out
RND 3** , you need 3 nastas to go out
RND 4** , you need 4 nastas to go out
RND 5** , you need 5 nastas to go out
RND 6** , you need 6 nastas to go out

CARD UP

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. At the beginning of each hand, the top card up on the discard pile will determine how many canasta's both players need to go out. If the top card up is red, you both need 1 canasta to go out. If the top card up is black, you both need 3 canasta's to go out.

CARNIVAL RIDE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. First hand is played as NoNo (No touching pile and No going out) then the Second hand is played as NTC (No touching pile but can go out with 1 canasta). You keep alternating between the two games each hand till game is over.

CARNIVAL RIDE TAG TEAM

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, UNRATED, PRIVATE. In this tournament you sign in as doubles with a partner. Player 1 plays NoNo (no touching pile and no going out), then you tag your partner to play the next hand and they play NTC (no touching pile but can go out with 1 canasta). When your partner is done playing that hand, they stand up and give you the seat back.

CHEATERS

(Tables set for 2-2)

This is a Cheaters Tournament. Anything Goes. You may Table talk. You may use Messenger. You may use AIM. You may use Web cam. You can use Voice. In fact you may use any form of cheating that you can think of. All Cheating allowed. You can ask your P anything you want, including conversations about Noah and his animals. Cheat Away and may the BEST CHEATERS WIN! However the only thing you May Not Do is Play Slow. Slow play will get you Disqualified (DQ'ed).

CHECKERBOARD

(Tables set for 2-2)

Your canastas go up just like a Checkerboard. They alternate red, black, red, black, or black, red, black, red, either way. So, if the First canasta you put up is Red, the next canasta you put up must be black, then another red, then black. Black or red may go up first but alternate keep them in “checkerboard” order. You may go out anytime, but your canastas must alternate in red and black. Can be played in either Singles or Doubles.

IN Checkerboard please be sure to put your canastas up one at a time. It doesn’t happen often, but yahoo may align them wrong when putting up multiple canastas. Yahoo does not know that you need them RED, BLACK, RED, BLACK. So please put them up one at a time in order.

CLUBS ARE WILD

(Tables set for 2-2)

All clubs are like Black 3's. If there is a club on top of the pile you cannot pick it up. You cannot pick up the pile on a club Ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the CLUBS as wilds. Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed. You can go out anytime.
Optional:  Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a club.

CODE RED

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. You can only touch the pile if you have a red canasta made on the board. You can't freeze the pile and you can have as many black canasta's as you want and can go out at anytime. You can't touch the pile to make your red canasta either.

COLUMN

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. Game is played as regular cut. The top card (each hand) decides what column the FIRST canasta has to be made in for both players. If you can make additional canasta's they don't have to be in your designated FIRST canasta column. Please be sure to type in what the top card turned up is for each hand at the table.

First column = black 3,4,5,6 Second column = 7,8,9,10 Third column = J,Q,K,A.

Example: Top card is a black 3, then both players have to make their first canasta of either 4, 5 or 6. Any additional canasta's can be from any columns.

CONFUSION

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE.
1st hand is No Touch
2nd hand is No Out
3rd hand is No No
4th hand and more is Regular
If you break any of the game rules for any of the hands you will be dq'ed.

CRACKED MIRROR

(TABLE SET 2-2)

You may Not meld anything your opponent has melded. Whether it be canasta already or not. The only circumstance in which you may meld what your opponent has down is if you make it directly into a canasta.

EXAMPLE: Jane has queens down on the table. Linda has 3 queens in her hand. Jane discards a queen, Linda has 3 queens plus 3 wilds, therefore she can pick up the pile and make a canasta out of the queens. So she must first highlight the 3 queens, and the 3 wilds, then click on the pile with the mouse and when the wild meld box comes up she must put all three wilds on the queens. This is the only way she can pick up the pile. If she had only 2 queens she could not pick the pile up because she wouldn't have a canasta out of the cards.  In other words Jane had melded Queens First, Linda cannot meld Queens now but if she had 3 Queens in her hand, she could pick up the pile on Queens and put it directly into a canasta As Long As Is Never Hits The Table. If Jane puts up a canasta of Kings Linda Still cannot meld 3 kings after Jane has made a canasta they must be used as junk cards or DC's. You can’t let them hit the table or you are DQ'ed. (Disqualified)

NOTE: The real trick to Cracked mirror is Meld Fast your opponent cant meld what you have laid down so meld fast in this game.

CRAZY 8's

(Tables set 2-2)

All 8's are like black 3's. If there is an 8 on top of the pile you cannot pick it up. You cannot meld 8's ever until you are going out. Use your 8's as wilds to block the pile. You cannot pick up the pile on an 8 ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the 8's as wilds. 8s MUST be the last thing meld or canasta when going out.  Keep your 2's and jokers for canasta's or until needed. You can go out anytime.

If you are going out and already have your canasta’s up, and you have 8’s left in your hand but not enough 8’s to make a canasta, you may meld them to the table. But you may ONLY, ONLY meld 8’s to the table when you are going out!

CRAZY RED 3's

(Tables set for 2-1)

The reason you set the table for 2-1 in this game, is you could end up only drawing one red 3. This is a hard game but a fun one because you are at the Dealer's Mercy. You must to wait until All the red 3's are out before you are allowed to put up canastas. You can have canasta's in your hand and ready to go but you Cannot put a canasta up until all the Red 3's are out. After all red 3's are out you can put your canastas up, but you need a MINIMUM number of canastas equal to the amount of red three’s that you have drawn to go out So if the Dealer only gave you 1 red 3, and your opponent got 3 Red 3’s, you only NEED a MINIMUM of 1 canasta to go out, he needs a MINIMUM of 3 canasta's to go out. If you drew 2 Red 3’s and you opponent got the other 2 Red 3's, you both need A MINIMUM of 2 canastas to go out. You may put up as many canastas as you wish once all the red 3333’s are out. Red Canastas or Black Canasta's are fine. If you get all 4 Red 3's you lose the game.

If the last RED 3 is the last card in the deck, no one gets to put canastas up. Meld what you have and slap the dealer!

CUT THROAT

(Tables set for 2-1)

Draw 2 Cards. 1 canasta to go out. This game is fast and furious.

DEVIL'S DELIGHT

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. This game is played regular cut canasta but here's the catch, the first person to touch the pile is declared the "Devil's Delight". By being the "Devil's Delight" that means you can only make red canasta's, no black canasta's. If you make a black canasta then you can't touch the pile. The other player (who's not the Devil's Delight) may make black or red canasta's. The player who touches the pile needs to say DD at the table, each hand. You can go out at any time.

DETERMINATION

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. In this tourney you may only canasta either odd (579JK) OR even (46810Q) cards. Aces may be melded or canasta'd by both players. You may meld anything but only what you canasta matters. THE FIRST CANASTA MADE OTHER THAN ACES DETERMINES WHO HAS ODD OR EVEN. This starts over each hand.

DIAMONDS ARE WILD

(Tables set for 2-2)

All diamonds are like Black 3's. If there is a diamond on top of the pile you cannot pick it up. You cannot pick up the pile on a diamond Ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the DIAMONDS as wilds. Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed. You can go out anytime.
Optional:  Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a diamond.

DON'T GO SET

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. In this tournament you cannot meld on table until you can go out, that means if you make a canasta you have to go out in the same turn. You must make all canasta's straight from your hand. They should never touch the table, they have to go straight to canasta's. Once you lay your cards on the table, you must go out in that turn. You CANNOT make a canasta from cards that have touched your board as meld. So if you have five 7's on the table you can not make a canasta out of them. You can have a discard to go out.

ELEVATOR

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. If you have to meld 15 or 50 you only need 1 canasta to go out, 90 meld 2 canasta's to go out, 120 meld 3 canasta's to go out. Game is regular canasta.

EVEN/ODD

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S. RATED.
Players sitting in the blue seat can only canasta even cards, while players in the red seat can only canasta odd cards. Aces are neutral and can be canasta'd by either player

EVIL RED CUT

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. This game is played as regular cut singles BUT you can only go out if you have ONLY ONE red 3. If you get none, 2, 3 or all 4 of the red 3's you can not go out. So, as soon as you only have only one red 3 you wanna go out because if you draw another red 3 you can't go out. You can make as many canasta's as you want but you just can't go out if you have more or less then one red 3.

EXACT MELD

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. You MUST meld the exact amount. Example, 50 meld you must meld exactly 50 NOT 55 or more same goes for 90 and 120 melds. You must meld your exact meld (15, 50, 90, 120) then allow your opponent to count your meld and then you may meld your remaining meld. Please ask your opponent if they've counted your meld before proceeding with remaining meld.

GO FISH SINGLES

(Tables set for 2-2)

THIS GAME REQUIRES THAT KIBITZ MUST ALWAYS BE TURNED ON SO THAT THE TD CAN SEE ALL CARDS. MANY, MANY HATFIELD AND MC COY FUEDS ARE AVOIDED BY THE TD KIBITIZING DURING THIS GAME. IN SMITTY’S LEAGUE IF THE TD CANNOT KIBITZ THE GAME FOR YOU HE/SHE WILL ASSIGN A VALUED PLAYER TO ASSIST AND KIBITZ.

When you throw a black 3 you are entitled to ask your opponent for a card. So if you throw a black 3 you will say, "Sally, do you have any Kings?" Sally Must give you a King (Which will enable you to pick up the pile). If Sally has no Kings she must reply, "Go Fish" and she will throw any card she chooses. You will find in this game if you control the black 3's you can control the game by continually taking the pile. Try this for an added twist; ask Sally is she has a black 3 or a wild. When Sally is forced to throw a black 3 that way she can’t ask You for a card.

HINTS AND TIPS FOR GO FISH

If Sally asks you for a 6 and you have a 6 in your hand and you DRAW two 6’s. You may meld and go out with NO DISCARD. You are completing your play by going out. You may NOT however meld the 6’s Sally asked for and throw her a 10 as an out discard. She asked for 6’s and in that case you MUST throw it. The only time you may meld what Sally has asked for is if you are going out WITH NO OUT DISCARD.

If you have just asked Sally for a KING and she said “Go Fish“ toss her a KING she doesn’t have any.

You DON’T have to pick up the pile when you toss a Black 3 and ask. Use it as a blocking tactic. If Sally has 4 QUEENS on the table and you think she is holding 2 more for a possible red, ask, make her toss it.

Yes, you can ask for a wild. It freezes the pile and you can’t take it but many times it helps.

Yes, you can ask Sally for a Black 3. She must throw it. She cannot ask for a card because she had to throw to fulfill your request.

GO FISH 2

(Tables set for 2-2)Doubles

THIS GAME REQUIRES THAT KIBITZ MUST ALWAYS BE TURNED ON SO THAT THE TD CAN SEE ALL CARDS. MANY, MANY HATFIELD AND MC COY FUEDS ARE AVOIDED BY THE TD KIBITIZING DURING THIS GAME. IN SMITTYS LEAGUE IF THE TD CANNOT KIBITZ THE GAME FOR YOU HE/SHE WILL ASSIGN A VALUED PLAYER TO ASSIST AND KIBITZ.

Throwing a black 3 entitles your PARTNER to ask their opponent for a card, NOT YOU. Sally and Sue are playing Jack and Joe. Sally throws a black 3, Sue (HER PARTNER) immediately gets to say, "Jack do you have any Queens?" Jack must throw the Queen to Sue or say, "Go Fish" and discard as usual. This becomes a lot of fun because when you throw the black 3, it is your PARTNER who immediately gets to ask for a card.

If Sally has just asked Jack for a Queen and Jack said “Go Fish” toss Jack a Queen he doesn’t have any. No need to quess the TD is kibitzing remember?

You DON’T have to pick up the pile when you toss a Black 3 and ask for a card. Use it as a blocking tactic. If Jack has 4 ACES on the table and Sally thinks he is holding 2 more for a possible red she can ask and make him toss it. She is not required to pick up the pile at all. She can use this as a blocking tactic.

Yes, you can ask for a wild. It freezes the pile and you can’t take it but many times it helps.

Yes, Sally can ask Jack for a Black 3. Jack must throw it. Jack cannot ask for a card because he had to throw the black 3 to fulfill your request. This is another good tactic to use.

Good luck and GOOOOOOO FISH!

GRAND SLAM DUNK

(Tables set for 2-2)

You cannot meld anything unless you can go out directly.  That's it Easy.  You can’t meld unless you can go out.  You can't pick the pile up, because that requires a Meld.  You can't Meld unless you can go out. If you take pile "YOU MUST GO OUT" use all cards no leftovers.

HANGMAN

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This game is regular canasta BUT here's the catch. The first canasta's has to be either Aces or 8's. If player 1 makes a canasta in Ace's before player 2 does then player 2 has to make a canasta in 8's. If player 1 makes a canasta in 8's before player 2 does then player 2 has to make a canasta in Aces. So whomever makes the first canasta (Aces or 8's) the other player has to make the other. You can't make a canasta in both Ace's and 8's.

HARDCORE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. The name fits the game, this is a very hard game. You can not meld any cards to the table! You can not freeze the pile! You can only make canasta's straight from your hand and never let it touch table. If you meld any cards or freeze the pile you will be dq'ed. Good luck!

HEARTS ALIVE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. In this game you can't pick up the pile unless there is a heart on top. REMEMBER DON'T TOUCH PILE UNLESS THERE'S A HEART ON TOP.
Optional:  Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are picking up a heart.

HEARTS ARE WILD

(Tables set for 2-2)

All hearts are like Black 3's. If there is a heart on top of the pile you cannot pick it up. You cannot pick up the pile on a heart Ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the HEARTS as wilds. Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed. You can go out anytime.
Optional:  Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a heart.

HIGH 5

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. You must canasta in 5's first and then a high canasta (10, J, Q, K or Ace) to be able to go out. Once you've made your canasta in 5's and your high canasta, you can canasta anything else you want. You HAVE to make your canasta in 5's and your high canasta BEFORE you can canasta anything else. So, it goes in order likes this Canasta in 5's, high canasta (10, J, Q, K, Ace) and then any other canasta you make. You can make your 5 canasta and your high canasta at the same time. If you can't canasta 5's then you can't make any canasta's. You can meld any other cards at any time.

JACKS OR BETTER

(Tables set for 2-2)

Your first MELD has to be JACKS OR BETTER (J, Q, K, A).

Your first CANASTA has to be JACKS OR BETTER (J, Q, K, A).

You can meld wilds with your cards but you have to wait for the NEXT TURN to meld other cards than J, Q, K, or A. Your FIRST canasta must be a J, Q, K, A. Anything after that is fine. You can only go out when you have a canasta with J, Q, K, or A. You can close as many canastas as you want as long as one is JACKS OR BETTER.

HINTS: Your INITIAL MELD has to be J, Q, K, A. ONLY! Use as many wilds as necessary. On your NEXT TURN you may meld anything else.

Your FIRST CANASTA has to be J, Q, K, A. ONLY! On your next turn you may put up as many canastas of anything else as you wish.

LADIES FIRST

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. You MUST meld with Queens (you can use wilds and you can pick up the pile as long as you meld Queens with your meld at the same time) NO Queens NO meld.

LOSERS-WIN

(Tables set for 2-2 UNRATED)

This game is so much fun, you play to lose. The person with the Lowest score Wins. It's harder than you think because you throw away all your good cards and pray the other person gets the Red 3's. You need to change your entire line of thinking because you are playing to LOSE in this tny. Tournament tables should be set as UNRATED so as not to affect Yahoo Ratings as you are deliberately playing to lose.

LUCKY 7'S

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. You MUST meld with 7's in your initial meld (you can use wilds and you can pick up the pile as long as you meld 7's with your meld at the same time). First person to meld 7's is the only person who can go out that hand. The player who melds 7's first please say at table "Lucky 7" so the TD will know who melded 7's first.

MIXED DOUBLES

MAKE ALL TABLES 4 PLAYERS, DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. Each doubles is a team of 2 players. Player 1 is not allowed to go out at any time but can pick up the pile. Player 2 is not allowed to pick up the pile at any time, but can go out. If player 1 goes out you will both be dq'ed, if Player 2 picks up pile you will both be dq'ed.

MONOPOLY

(Tables set for 2-1)

Players must meld 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A BEFORE a canasta can be made by anyone. Between the two of you all sets must be melded. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.00 until every set is melded on the board between the two of you. Then anyone may make a canasta. Red or black. But not until all sets are melded. You can meld and pick up the pile at anytime. You need one canasta to go out. GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARDS AND COMMUNITY CHEST CARDS AVAILABLE THRU YOUR LOCAL TD!

MR. FREEZE

(set tables 2-2)

Wildcards may not be used to freeze the deck in this game.  Black threes are fine, but you may not discard a wild at any time. Wilds include both Jokers and the 2’s…you can’t freeze the pile ever!!!! You may go out at any time and meld at any time but you may not freeze the pile.

MUSICAL CHAIRS

(Tables set for 2-2)UNRATED 3v3

You need two partners. 3 people to a team. If you have no partner yet make a team anyway and get signed up people will find you. If you are looking for yahoo rung or ratings, this is not the game for you. This game is played on Unrated tables. Tables are set up for Doubles Unrated, draw 2 cards 2 canastas to go out. Two players from each team sit down, the third player from each team remains standing. Remember you have 3 players to a team. Each turn after a player discards, he/she stands up and the player that was standing sits in their place. So you Discard/Stand. Discard/Stand throughout the whole game. Forget trying to remember what is in the pile, you are way to busy trying to remember to SIT/STAND! One of the funniest games I ever played! Team players rotate seats the whole game. Red team against the blue team.

NAKED NASTA

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. Kibitz ON ON ON!!!!
You must meld everything everything everything that you can as soon as you can. NO freezing the pile, go out whenever you feel like it or if you get to cold. You can not hold anything back. Wilds do not have to be melded until you feel like melding them. You must meld to your canasta if you are able to. Example, you have a canasta made of 4's and you draw a 4, you have to meld it, CAN NOT DISCARD. You will be given one warning per person per game for holding cards that could be melded, you'll be dq'ed for freezing the pile.

NAKED REVERSE

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, UNRATED, PRIVATE. Kibitz ON ON ON!!!! You must meld everything everything everything that you can, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF WILD CARDS, as soon as you can. NO freezing the pile, go out whenever you feel like it or if you get to cold. You can not hold anything back, but if you have 3 of something but cannot meld you can discard one of them. Wilds do not have to be melded until you are going out. You must meld to your canasta if you are able to. Example, you have a canasta made of 4's and you draw a 4, you have to meld it, CAN NOT DISCARD. You will be given one warning per person per game for holding cards that could be melded, you'll be dq'ed for freezing the pile. You play 3 hands whoever has lowest score wins.

NASTY_NASTA

(TABLES SET 2-2)

Every hand requires a 120 meld. You must have 120 to meld. You can pick up the pile any time you want. You may go out any time you want. You may put up Reds or Blacks. But you must have a 120 meld on each hand.  120 meld must go to table before any canastas can be made.

NASTY 9's

(Tables set 2-2)

All 9's are like black 3's. If there is a 9 on top of the pile you cannot pick it up. You cannot meld 9's ever until you are going out. Use your 9's as wilds to block the pile. You cannot pick up the pile on a 9 ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the 9's as wilds.   9's MUST be the last thing meld or canasta when going out.  Keep your 2's and jokers for canasta's or until needed. You can go out anytime.

NATURAL MELD

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. This special tourney has 1 special rule. Each hand you begin you may not use a wild card (joker or 2) in your meld. After melding your 50/90/120 naturally you may use as many wilds as you want you just cannot use your wilds to meld!!!!

You cannot have ANY 3 of a kinds on the table in front of you, they must be 4 or more, you may use a wild (if you have 3 of a kind in your hand you may add a wild to it to make a 4 of a kind before melding it). Also you can meld a pair with 2 wilds.

NO ACES NO OUT

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. You can not go out at anytime. You can touch the pile BUT you can not touch the pile if there's a Ace on it. Aces are considered wild. You can't touch Aces on the pile and you can't meld them or canasta them at any time.

2nd Hand:- NO OUT. Don’t go out. You can meld and take the pile whenever you want, but NO OUT. Don’t go out.

3rd Hand:- NO-NO. NO TOUCH. NO OUT. Don’t touch the pile, Don’t go out.

4th Hand:- NO-NO and NO RED 3333. It’s NO NO again and if you get RED 3333 YOU LOSE. It’s a NO NO on 3333. Pray!

NO OUT

(TABLE SET 2-2)

You can’t go out. You must play all the cards in the deck. Always keep one card in your hand. You cannot go out.

NO TOUCH HI-LO

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 2 CANASTA'S, RATED, PRIVATE. If you are the first person to draw a card, and the top card is black, you may only meld or canasta anything between 4’s and 8’s. If the top card is red, then you can only meld or canasta anything between 9’s and King’s.

The aces are like black three's and you can discard them, but you can't meld Aces or meld the Black 3's until going out. You can't canasta Aces either. You do not have to freeze the pile because it is no pick up.

NTC

MAKE ALL TABLES DRAW 2 CARDS, 1 CANASTA, RATED, PRIVATE. Players are not allowed to pick up the discard deck at all but you may go out at any time.

ODDS N EVENS

(Tables set for 2-2)

Red seats make Odd Canastas 5,7,9, Jacks and Kings. Blue seats make Even Canastas 4,6,8,10, Queens. Aces go to the first person to meld them. You may meld any cards at any time but you may only put up Canastas according to your Seat Color. Red is Odd. Blue is Even. For example Red seats may meld odd and even cards to the table but may only put odd cards into Canasta's the same applies to the blue seats but in reverse.

OVER THE HILL

(TABLE SET 2-2)

You are considered “OVER THE HILL” at 30 and so is the pile in this game. No one may pick up the pile under any circumstances until there are 30 or less cards left in the deck. When the computer says “30 Cards in Deck” it’s up for grabs. By anyone. 30 cards or less. You may meld at any time but you may not take the pile until it says 30 cards in deck. Toss your junk cards because it is basically frozen until it hits 30. No one can take it. Don’t waste your wilds because it’s frozen till it hits 30

POPSICKLE

(Tables set for 2-2)

Do Not Touch The Pile Unless It Is Frozen. A wild or a 2 freezes a pile, a black 3 does not. A red 3 at the beginning of a game freezes the pile. So the idea in this game is to keep throwing away all your discards because no one can pick up the pile until it is frozen. Once someone freezes it, you may then pick up the pile as in regular canasta. If the pile ISN’T FROZEN don’t pick it up. NO POPSICKLE!

PROGRESSIVE 1

(Tables set for 2-1)

The first round only needs one canasta to go out so you need to set the table for 2-1. This is a progressive rules canasta game based on the number of points. This means that the more points you have the more canastas you need to go out. The following chart summarizes it:

If you have between 0 and 999 points you need 1 canasta to go out.

If you have between 1000 and 1999 points you need 2 canastas to go out.

If you have between 2000 and 2999 points you need 3 canasta’s to go out.

If you have between 3000 and 3999 points you need 4 canastas to go out.

If you have between 4000 and 4999 points you need 5 canastas to go out.

If you get stuck on 4999 then the next hand you need 6 canastas to go out.

(Tables set for 2-2)

In this game your First Canasta must be a Red and your Second Canasta a Black, in that order. Red first. Then black. After a Red and Black Canasta are up anything goes. SORRY

(TABLES SET 2-2)

You can NOT pick up the pile unless you are LOSING according to the score box. All games start with a 0-0 score, right. Ok 0-0 is a tie. In case of a tie, the pile is free to anyone. First hand is considered a tie (score box shows 0-0) so the first pile in round one is up for grabs. Go for it! After that only the person with the LOW SCORE may pick up the pile. You must have the lowest score in the scorebox to pick up the pile. If you pick up the pile when the score box shows you in the lead, you are DQ'd SORRYYY! If at any time during the game, the scores show a tie the pile is up for grabs!

SPADES ARE WILD

(TABLES SET 2-2)

All spades are like Black 3's. If there is a spade on top of the pile you cannot pick it up. You cannot pick up the pile on a spade Ever. The trick is to toss all your junk cards and then the black 3's and then toss the SPADES as wilds. Keep your 2's and Jokers for Canasta's or until needed. You can go out anytime.
Optional:  Have players call the top card before taking the pile, to be sure they are not picking up a spade.
