TOURNAMENTS
Specific rules for tourneys are set out by the individual Tournament Director (TD).
TD has final decision on rules if there is a discrepancy in lobby or main tourney page.
If both opponents time out, the win shall be awarded to the player with the higher LEAGUE RATING.
When a player dq's or times out in a tournament game, the advancing player gets the yahoo game
(if box comes up after opponent times out, winner of game can click FORCE FORFEIT/ if a player dq's
in a tournament they must quit & FORFEIT game).
If both players are booted from yahoo, regardless of score they shall restart their tourney match.
Members cannot engage in a league game or other non-league game during tourneys they are registered for.
Timers in tourneys are set at 5 min for single elimination. Swiss & double elimination (multiple rounds).
have 2 five minute timers (per round) totaling 10 minutes. TD's have final say on ALL timers.
Gin game time length is 20 minutes per game (unless unusually high scores or game type), in order for tourneys to
keep moving along. It is up to the TD to call the game at that time and the TD decision is final.
TAG TOURNAMENTS
If one tag team player is MIA/frozen or booted, then the remaning team member can continue to play alone until partner returns
or tourney is over.
If tag table is set as rated in error, the table is remade as UNrated and the points accumulated at previous table
follow the pairs and the game is carried on with those points from previous table in place. The TD MUST be invited to
the table to verify the points to be carried over.
LEAGUE GAMES
All rated games between 2 league members must be reported as a "league game". If two league members want to play
for fun, please make the game unrated.

The same league members can play against each other in league games a maximum of 5 times in 24 hours.
The losing member of the league game MUST report the loss to the "REPORT LOSS" link which can be found under
the "Standings" heading on main page) as soon as game is over. If the losing member does not report their loss within 24 hours
please notify admin or utilize the "unreported match" option on the league page.
Members can only play in 1 league game at a time, fast play expected.
Members must offer league games in public lobby, asking "league game anyone?" in order to allow everyone to
have the opportunity to play. First person to answer in lobby should be given initial chance at a league game request.
FORMAL CHALLENGES
Top 20 players may issue formal challenges.
Formal challenges can be made to the same player only once every 2 days.
Both players have 2 days to complete the challenge. It is the challenged players responsibility to arrange the game
not the challenger. The challenger should wait until contacted. The challenged player has the right to contact the challenger
via IM, email etc but the challenger does not have such rights. The game should be played as soon as both are available.
If the challenged player is found to be avoiding the challenge they will be penalized.
All challenge games must be rated and played in the rooms set out by these rules.
Remember, if a formal challenge is not met, both players, the challenger and the challenged, receive a loss.
