What's Burning @ B I D...

~TOUCH OF FIRE~
Welcome BidWhist Family

This is our 17th year on Bid and the beginning of another era of Bid. As we continue to grow here at Bid, we will try to send you our monthly newsletter to keep you inform on our accoplishments.

Here at Bid it’s all about "YOU" our Players and we try to do everything within our means to make Bid a place where you can come 'play bid' and chill.

We are so excited about the great ideas we have planned for you! The first of many is to give you, the players, an opportunity to try out new receipe's and spotlight a TD and a New and Seasoned Player.

Catch on fire about our exciting plans we have in store for you in 2020. So stay tuned, be on the look-out, and watch how we roll!!!

~TD SPOTLIGHT~

Revrvb

1. What made you apply to be a td? The community was welcoming and friendly to me and I thought that becoming a Td would allow me to give back and assist with the league more family like.
2. What sets you aside from the other td's? I don't know that anything sets me aside but I feel the bid whist family should be a family orientated and be supportive encouraging and caring for one another
3. Is hosting all you imagined? I've not yet played while hosting it is interesting to manage the players while they are participating in the tournaments. I am working to be more proficient and learning the rules of the site via standard rules so that when an issue arises I can settle it quickly.
4. If you can live anywhere in the world where would it be? Puerto Rico I enjoy the island it has had its challenges but it is a beautiful place its tropical but still has an american feel to it. The people are nice.
5. Tell others something they would never guess about you? I'm Very sensitive and shy at times
6. What is your favorite food to eat? Snyder barbecue chips.
7. What is your favorite food to cook? Spaghetti with meat sauce
Lastly I would like to add I am honored to be a new td director and strive to make my tournaments fun and enjoyable for the participating players.

~PLAYERS SPOTLIGHT~

PhoenixGrad

1. What do you llike about the league? What I like most about the league is, the opportunity to socialize with people from all over the world. To play my ‘favorite’ card game, and win tourney bucks! I have also had the opportunity to meet several members in my home; even though it was under ‘unfortunate’ circumstances. It was sooo much fun!!
2. What would you change about the league? I would change the way members "FEUD" with one another, over a card game. I would use a rule that states: when someone is reported for arguing with a “TD administrator” they should be made to pay a fee of $5.00.
If members are in an argument with each other, they should be made to pay $2.50.
If there is a second kerfuffle, they both should be barred from the game for one week.

3. If you can live anywhere in the world where would it be? I reside in Kansas city, Missouri. If I could live anywhere, I would love to live in Pasadena California. That town seems to be tranquil, fun, warm, and quiet.
4. What is yor favoite vacation spot?Believe it or not, I don’t have a favorite vacation spot. I don’t like to travel ??
5. What is your favorite Food? Besides my more exotic foods; Mexican cuisines would be my favorite. Hands down. Next, Chinese.
6. What is your favorite food to cook? My favorite food to cook; at least one of my favorites, would be combination fried rice! Next, Rack of Lamb on the grill...” yumm OOO!!”
7. What does your screen name mean? My screen name means; I stepped away from the league to complete my bachelor’s degree and obtain my master’s degree. I graduated from University of Phoenix. “That’s why I call myself; Phoenixgrad”
In conclusion: One thing I would like to see change in the league would be allowing emoji’s to be posted when conversating with the members.
I would also like to see “us” all get alone with each other. squash all the bickering.
“ If you, we, were that good, you should be playing this game for a living” That’s what pool sharks and poker players do” STOP being such a “chagrin”
I’m generally a affable person, But, when those who can’t stand for you to make a mistake, they make me, and other members become “vehemently”

Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, using a rubber spatula, lightly stir the batter until no streaks of flour remain, mix in walnuts . Be careful not to over mix. MALIBU SUNSET COCKTAIL (alcohol beverage)
INGREDIENTS
2 oz. Malibu rum/4 oz. pineapple juice/1 oz. grenadine

INSTRUCTIONS
To make this yummy drink, simply put 3-4 ice cubes in the bottom of a glass. Pour the pineapple juice and the rum over the ice.
Next, pour the grenadine slowly down one side of the glass (pouring too fast will mix the grenadine in and you won't get the cool color separation)
stick 2 cherries and a pineapple chunk on a toothpick for a garnish or a drink umbrella.
Enjoy your drinks immediately.
Please remember to drink responsibly and kick back and relax!

*NOTES*
Garnish Suggestions:
2 maraschino cherries with a pineapple chunk on a toothpick in the glass

MOCKTAIL INSTRUCTIONS: (no alcohol)

Eliminate the rum/Replace the coconut rum with coconut water.
