If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact one of our Admins or Tourney Directors (TDs).

Joining The League
To join the league please click on the free signup link on the left hand side or click the USA Bear in the middle of the web page. There is a simple 4 step process for joining the league.

Step 1 will ask for your ladder name and password. Your ladder name must match your pogo name exactly. Your password can be anything you want and should be kept private.

Step 2 will ask for your email address. A valid email address is required to recieve the activation code as well as information about the league.

Step 3 is a page for you to get bux. Please check as many boxes as possible to get the most ladderbux. Ladderbux are needed to play in tournaments. You win more ladderbux from winning a tournament.

Step 4 will be the activation page. You will need to put in the activation code that you recieve in your email. If you do no recieve the activation code, please email an admin and we can activate your account.

How To Play In Tournaments
There are two ways to find a list of available tournaments. You can either click on 'Tourney Calendar' on the left side of the page or you can scroll through the 'Tournament Calendar' on the Junior Bears main page.

Clicking on the name of the tournament director will take you to the tournament page.

Once the tournament page opens, click on 'Register'.

Enter your Ladder Name and Password. Be sure to check the box next to 'I have read the rules' and click on the Register button.

Please be sure to read the rules for that particular tournament. You will find those by clicking on the 'Rules' link on the tournament page.

Each tournament also has a 'Jump Number' which you can get from the Tournament Calendar or from the tournament director in the lobby of the game to be played.

You can join a tournament using this 'Jump Number', in one of two ways. Either enter the number into the jump box on the left side of the page or enter the jump number, your league name and your password in the 'Enter Tourney' box located on the left hand side of the Junior Bears page

Once you have registered, you should go to the 'Teams/Check In' page for that tournament and make sure you are checked in.

Subs
JUNIOR BEARS LEAGUE uses subs, if you do not like this rule, please withdraw from the league. These rules will not be changed to suit individual players. We have used subs since the inception of the league over one year ago.

- If you are not in room when round starts, you lose that round unless a sub is available
- Host may sub for a player if no person is willing to sub or is available
- If no sub is available for a player, the missing player loses the round
- In non-2 vs. 2 tourneys, You can only have 1 sub per tourney. If you miss 2 rounds, you will be removed from tourney

We have all used subs, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose.

Check In
At times, the tournament director has not opened check in before you register for a tournament. If this happens, please go back to the tournament page and click on 'Teams/Check In'. Select your name from the drop down list and enter your password. Hit enter and you will be checked in.

You will need to complete this process for any 'Invitation Only' tournaments, such as the Tournament of Champions and the Big BUX Tourney.

Once the tournament starts, refresh the tournament page.

On the tournament page, you will see 'Standings' and 'Pairings'. You can view the pairings for each round by clicking on the 'Pairings' link. Likewise, you can see the current standings by clicking on the 'Standings' link.

Being on time for tournaments is very important! The tournament schedule depends on each tournament starting on time.

Please be registered, checked in and present in the lobby of the game to be played at least 5 minutes before the tournament is scheduled to begin. If you are not present in the lobby by the time of the first round, you will be dropped from the tournament.

Please wait for the tournament director to announce pairings before starting to play.

Ladderbux
Ladderbux are needed to register for most tournaments. You can see how many ladderbux you have by going to the 'Tourney Bux Log', on the left side of the page.

If you see you are running low on bux, please let an Admin or a Tournament Director know and we will make sure to get some to you.
