my mothers receipe: large onion diced fine and added to 1# hamburger, fried till done.to which is added 2 teaspoons chilli powder, large pinch oregano, 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper.crumble fine while frying. when hamburger is done add 3 small cans diced tomatoes. 1# macaroni boiled in salt water until done, drain and add 1-64 oz can tomato juice, half to start with. add hamburger mixture , mix well. as it sets it will absorb the tomato juice and keep adding until it no longer is dry.normally it will take the entire can. |
