Spring into the fun with 4Fun!! April 2012 Newsletter Happy Spring Funners! Leaves are starting to sprout and it is time to get busy. Changes to Disqualification Rules If a player DQ’s and there are 55 or more cards in the draw deck for singles (30 cards or more for doubles), the game is an automatic restart. If you restart once, you cannot DQ and restart again. This is only for the beginning of the game and if a member is found to be continually DQ’ing perhaps due to a bad hand, he/she will be punished appropriately. Changes to Doubles Subbing Rules This has now been changed that if you sub in a doubles tournament and you start the tournament, you can now CHOOSE to give up your seat to the original player if he/she comes back. In order to do this you must leave the lobby in order to leave the table. It is not required for you to do this and you can play the game out. Race Day Presets Some of the staff members are now going to be presetting on Race Days to show you the members when we are going to be in the lobby to host for you! With these, some of the tournaments will be labeled "First In Names It" and these are just what they say, the first person to register names the tournament to be played. Yes we operate on requests but this is so we can set some tournaments for folks to see when we are here. Sundays are 4Fundays On Sundays we are going to run tournaments throughout the day as c/4 and c/8. The doubles are NOT going to be random doubles. While we will take requests we will have the 1 hour rule on Sundays as well which means that we can only host a game once an hour. Example: a King Me NT tournament is hosted at 9pm and cannot be hosted again until 10pm. The 9:30pm singles and the 10pm doubles will each have a large TDD on them each Sunday night. The singles will have a 10,000 or higher and the doubles will be 20,000. Freaky Fridays Fridays are definitely gonna be Freaky around here. We are going to have a lot of changes on this day so PAY ATTENTION! First, there can be c/4 or c/8 (not random) all day so long as it is designated as such. If the c/4 or c/8 is not in the title, it is declared automatically an ALL IN tournament. Main part, TDs are not REQUIRED to be at the tables on this day only. They can be if they wish to be but it is not required. Players will need to invite TDs to tables, they will spam rules and time and then before leaving will ask if there are any questions on the rules and answer them before they leave. Players will then need to invite TD back if there is a DQ and/or MIA or No Ping. Timers will start from the time the TD is notified of the MIA. Playing in 3 Tournaments Since the trial seemed to work out well, we have now added it to the league rules and we are allowing folks to play in 3 tournaments so long as 1 of the tournaments is a doubles tournament. We still do reserve the right to restrict a player to only the 2 games if he/she is found to not be able to keep up with all 3 games due to internet connection or other various reasons. As well if you are found to be playing in more than the allowed number of games you will still be DQ'd out of one of them, however you will be offered a choice of what game you wish to be DQ'd out of. We can only give a choice if you are in more than 1 singles game. If there is a large difference in the score and you are losing, you will be asked to FF upon yourself for the DQ. Growing League Our league is growing very well right now. We are in constant need of new staff as well as patience in the lobby for current staff. Because we are growing, sometimes requests can get overlooked. If this happens, please just holler out again your request or question or IM one of the hosting TDs. If you would like to apply for staff, please click on the link on the main page of the league or IM any Admin to assist you. We are willing to give most everyone a chance. Doubles Times! We have 3 regular doubles time slot of 8pm, 9pm, and 10pm. We are also trying to get the 11pm time slot as a regular doubles time slot as well, so all you doubles players please be sure to come out and support these times slots!!!
