PLAYERS ETIQUETTE
This league was created to provide fun and relaxing POGO game play for our members. It is with this in mind that we request that all Bowling Friends members follow these Player Etiquette Guidelines while in our game rooms, whether you are playing in a tournament at that time or not.
Insults and derogatory remarks about players will not be tolerated in any of our game rooms. Insults and derogatory remarks are to be defined as any statement would be seen or read as hurtful and spiteful.
A ' good game' or 'good luck in next round' given in the lobby after losing or winning a round is a sign of good sportsmanship and we and your opponents would appreciate seeing this in chat. No one enjoys losing a game but it will happen to all of us at one time or another.
Also, cheering on of players is encouraged as long as you cheer on all the players that are still playing. This helps to show there is no favoritism for some players over others.
If there are concerns or questions about scoring after a round please allow the players it concerns to discuss it with the TD, it is very difficult to examine and correct a situation when too many players get involved.
Vulgar and sexually explicit language is not acceptable in our league rooms. Although we play in adult rooms there are people who are offended by this type of chat. Also the game rooms are not age restricted so children and teens are often present in our rooms. Pogo offers uncensored chat rooms, please keep explicit chat there. complaints about vulgar and/or sexually explicit language with be dealt with by suspension and/or removal from the league.
Accusations of cheating in open chat will not be tolerated, and will result in a 1 week suspension from league play.
Holding chat when requested by the TD is expected of all League players, including those in the room but not playing in the current tournament. Allowing the TD to get correct scores quickly and accurately moves tournament play along more quickly and therefore we are able to provide more tournaments.
We are always adding more Tournament Directors to the league. The more directors that we have the better the experience will be for all involved. Please remember that every TD is new at one time or another and they all have slightly different ways of running their tournaments, and it takes some time and practice to have every tournament run smoothly. Please respect that they are volunteering their time to make the league experience better for all of us and give them the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of hosting a successful tournament. We all made some mistakes when we started and will continue to make some along the way, we are human. Please take a minute and let the hosts know how much you appreciate their time.
Players who repeatedly fail to follow the Bowling Friends Etiquette Guidelines will be subject to suspension(Boxing) or removal(Banning) from the league.
Welcome to Bowling Friends!!!
