GETTING STARTEDAll HOSTS must read all sections prior to training. STEP 1: Read all GAME FORMATS and understand the rules for each one of them.
STEP 2: Go to TD LOGIN and click on every option available to understand what each one does. Hosting is not just about running a tourney is about helping new members
NEW MEMBERS and you are required to understand this information, along with CASES RULES and Roses Policies STEP 3: Learn to cut and paste if you do not already know how.
STEP 4: Learn all the below rules.
***Failure to complete these steps prior to training will result in your training session canceled for that day and rescheduled for another when you have had time to complete the steps.
HOST RULES
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE TOKEN TOURNEYS WILL NOT BE HELD FOR BADGES ON BADGE DAYS! TY
You are a Host and must be professional at all times as a volunteer representative of this league. All rulings must be fair and impartial
You must be able to do 3 tourneys a week. You are required to have all instant messagers. And keep up with the coming and going of members.
You are required to be in the lobby and available to players 15 minutes before your tourney starts.
Check-In must be open to players at least one half hour before tourney. You may open check-in earlier if you wish for the convenience of players.
Instant messaging members for tourneys is a requirement on all im's. You should im them half hour before tourney start time and only once more if in need
of jumpers or have made error with the first im. No more than that.
Never under any circumstances should you delete a tourney. If you are not available for it, either find someone to cover it, get to someone to replace yours
or move it to a further date.
When moving a tourney please remember to remove any players who have registered for it first.
Never argue with a player in the lobby. Speak with them at a table or on IM. If you have a serious problem player in the lobby league or non-league related,
ignore the comments, do not respond, and instruct league members to mute the user.
Please send all complaints to ADM to deal with to decide what is right and wrong.
Never threaten a member with having them boxed or banned from league. It is up to Admin for that and you as a Host are only in control of your tournaments while hosting them.
Never cancel, or walk off from a tourney once it has started. If you have an emergency or strongly feel the need to leave, be responsible to all the players
and have a HTD or Admin member take over for you. (Please remember, regular TD's cannot take over for you, they cannot access your pages and do not share password for HTD with them.)
Walking off a tourney for any reason other than an emergency will result in your being removed as a host immediately.
IF A HOST MISSES 3 TOURNEYS (NO SHOWS) THEY WILL BE REMOVED AS A HOST
TIME LIMITS ARE NOT SET FOR CANASTA GAMES, ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS A TWIST
IF A GAME IS TAKING TOO LONG CHECK ON THE GAME TO SEE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM AND KINDLY MENTION THEIR GAME
IS TAKING LONGER THAN YOU EXPECTED AND ASK FOR THEM TO SPEED IT UP A LITTLE
ALWAYS BE IN THE LOUNGE AND READY TO GREET YOUR MEMBERS AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE START OF TOURNEY.
RUN YOUR AD AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE TOURNEY STARTS ONCE DURING THE TOURNEY AND ONCE AT THE END
PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE ALL WINS AND ALL LOSSES
WATCH LOUNGE AT ALL TIMES DURING TOURNAMENT, IF YOU HAVE TO STEP AWAY PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE COVER WHILE YOU ARE GONE

All TD and HTD can come to Admin for help with any questions/concerns that they have about tours they are running or will run.
2. If an Admin is not available all TD’s can go to HTD with questions/concerns about tours, setting, and chat.
3. Admin or HTD will be available for help with the tour, to take over the tour should the TD be unable to finish.
4. Admin will take over the chat if the TD cannot handle the situation but the Admin should not take over unless absolutely necessary.
5. Admin will be able to box members or TD’s should the need arise after no less than 3 warnings from the Admin.
6. The box is 3 days for first offense, 7 days for second offense, and 14 days after third offense.
Extension rules:1. The 3 extension rule is out and should be removed from options.
2. After you have extended 2 x’s @ the table or in the game please report to host in main chat (lobby), the player will then have 10 minutes to return to the game (table) to finish play or be dq’d.
3. The “3 minutes to report to table rule” should now be modified to say “Please report to table A.S.A.P. to avoid game delay”

TOURNEY RULES
Do not set a tourney you have not played or have not been introduce to yet. It is important you understand the foundation of the game being played to make correct rulings.
Each player is allowed 10 minute timer per tournament or 3 boots.. This will be an auto DQ.
A player will not be removed from a timer until they have typed in the lobby that they returned.
A player may not register for one tourney while still in another. The exception to this rule is if they are absolutely in the last hand of that game and are expected to be
completed in five minutes or less. You may not hold a tourney up for this purpose. We rely on your judgement on this matter and ask that you apply common sense.
All tourney must start within 10-15 minutes to prior tourney time and no later. All member should be in lobby and ready to play if not withdraw them from tourney. They are not only player in tour and must respect all feelings.
Never reset a game if there is a score or falling behind. If it is set wrong and cause game to be a problem their is two choices they have DQ for the setter or they play with wrong settngs. If in first hand reset will be allowed. You as the Host must allowed them to reset.
As a Host it's your position to check all table settings and you may even give them a set table to play on to insure correct TABLE SETTINGS .
Players are expected to report loss in lobby. If the player does not make the report remind them gently once, if they still do not report adjust the results for them.
Member in a tournament must get permission from the Host on hand to go to another tournament table. If you are caught doing so you will be automatically be forfiet from that tournament.
Any disrespect from members whether staff or member will be automatically forfiet them from that tournament and a complaint will be filed.
Run your addy for lobby more than once to recruit new members to our league.
Be sure that when you are hosting you have all materials on hand and not on "be right back" to retrieve it. It is important to be ready and have the knowledge of the game in play. You never know when a question or a need may arise.
A player will be allowed to make two attempts at setting the table correctly. If the table is still not correct after the 2nd attempt, thank that player for trying but instruct a more experienced player of those paired to now set the table and invite. This policy is in place so that the tourney may continue smoothly and on time.
Under no circumstances ever is one TD or HTD to correct another TD in the lobby regarding rules or tourney pages or a ruling. If you see a host make an error IM a HTD and alert them to the problem. Not only are the other TD's volunteering their time and do not need to be told that in your opinion they are doing something wrong, it is of utmost important to maintain professional curtosy in the lobby.
And last but not least, when you become a host for this league, members expect that you know the GAME RULES to be able to rule on them correctly. It is highly unproffesional to be in the lobby as a player in another hosts tourney asking what the rules are, or what the rules mean. We have provided the information on this site and will accept no excuse for you not being aware of them. We hold you to a higher standard by virtue of your position. Whether you are playing or hosting, be professional.

5. go back to shortkeys, click on shortkey add new shortkey
6 paste in the big white box.
7 at the top u will see orginal shortkey this is where you type in
keyword u want to run this shortkey. i use adv short for advertisement
but you can use anything u like.
8. save 9 repeat these steps to add your rules and such.
when shortkeys is up and running all you need to do is type in your code and it will
start.
