It is every angels responsibility to read and understand the league rules as well as cases rules Treat others as you would expect to be treated! Lobby arguments are frowned upon here. If you have a problem with someone either bite your tongue or take it to a private table or yim with them. This league will not tolerate bad language, vulgar comments and idiotic behavior. If you feel the need to carry on this way, you will be boxed and you can play elsewhere. if someone outside of the CANASTA ANGELS LEAGUE starts trouble, then simply put them on ignore. We do not own the yahoo room of course... Freedom of speech stands. Do try to remember that this is a family oriented room, and cussing back at the people will only get YOU ignored and disciplined as well. When someone is making a scene in the lobby don't stick your nose into the conversation. Admins will handle it. If you can't leave it alone you will get 1 day in box. Second offense 2 days in box, Third offense 3 days in box. *This also means, no id's can have cuss words in them either.* CANASTA ANGELS League has numerous members from other countries. Therefore, we have many different cultures, and religions. Each culture views what are so called "cursewords" in a different way and this is causing controversy within the league. For example, in the USA some see the word "damn" as a curse, others see it as a dam to hold water. In Australia, the word "damn" is a canal, and in Belgium or the Netherlands the word "damn" is a piece of a board game. What matters most is the interpretation of the word or the context in which the word is used. You will get 1 day in box, without warning, for cursing at a table or in lobby. Second offense 2 days in box, Third offense 3 days in the box. If you play a game we appreciate good sportsmanship being shown by saying good luck and good game. If good sportsmanship is not shown, 1 or more days in the box may be the result. Repeat offenders will receive additional days. (2nd offense=2 days, 3rd offense= 3 days) You are free to play in all lobbys and talk to everybody. But if we get complaints about bad behavior from other lobbys or leagues and you're a member of angels you may be boxed for 1 day. Second offense 2 days in box, Third offense 3 days. You are to speak English only at the game tables, especially if it's a doubles game. If you speak anything but English in a doubles game, at the table, your team will be DQ'D. Second offense you will get 1 day in the box, Third offense 3 days in the box. **ANY MEMBER OF ANGELS BOXED MORE THAN 3 TIMES FOR ANY REASON IN ANY 6 MONTH PERIOD MAY RECIEVE ADDITIONAL DAYS IN THE BOX FOR REPEAT OFFENSES, OR BE BANNED FROM THE LEAGUE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ADMIN TEAM** TOURNEYS AND LEAGUE GAMES With the exception of "quickies"(unrated games that are 3 hands or less) all games have a 45 minute timer. If the game has not finished when the time is up, the hand in progress will continue and the highest score will advance. Each player is allowed 2 brb's (3 mins each), 2 mia's (10 mins each) and 2 slow plays (30 seconds withoug moving) per game. The 3rd is a DQ and the game will be cancelled. No member of angels is allowed to be in more than 2 tourneys or league games at any time. If you are found to be in more than 2 at a time, you will be DQ'ed from the 3rd game. No force-forfeiting in any league game or tourney. FF'ing your opponent will result in 1 day in the box. Second offense 2 days in box, Third offense 3 days. 4000 rule- If a player DQ's for any reason and the opponents score is 4000 or over, the game will be finished so the opponent can get their yahoo rating points. If a player goes mia and does not return and the opponents score is 4000 or over, then the hosting TD will sit and finish the game. Subs and Mias in doubles games-If 1 team member goes mia at start of game the other team member has 3 options. 1) They can wait 5 minutes and get a sub. 2) they can wait the full 10 minutes and if their partner doesn't return, they time out and opp's get win. 3) They can go ahead and give win right then. If a sub starts the game, they finish that game. If the mia team member returns, they can play in next round if their team wins. If a team member goes mia once the game is started, they can sit in their seat when the current hand ends. Please remember ALL games are 45 minutes, regardless of mia's. The TD will get you a SUB, you are not allowed to pick your own SUB. In doubles games, each team must have at least 1 original player. If for some reason neither original player is at the table, that team is disqualified. If one member of a doubles team gets DQ'ed for slow play, brb, or mia, a SUB will be found for the remaining player. This does not apply to game play DQ's. The TD of the tourney will get the SUB, you arenot allowed to pick your own Sub.
