October 2009

This month I am spotlighting a very special person in our league. He is funny, smart, hard-working, (a cutie too!!) and can be sooooo charming!! Here is our Zac-----lvl0nky.lvlan...

1. Tell us about yourself. Your family, your hobbies, your work, anything you would like to know about someone else but in reverse.

Hmmmm... well to start off, I am the oldest of six children. I am 22 and the youngest child is 6. I was raised Mormon and then raised Baptist. I was in the top of my class in highschool until I dropped out, was kicked out of the house, and started heading down the wrong road in life. I decided to leave that life behind and start over new. I packed all my stuff and moved to california. I began workin for McDonalds there for a year and half until my mother became handicapped in her arm. I began living at home with her and the kids until her arm healed. I eventually left Mcdonalds after 3.5 years of employment and am now working at Chuck E. Cheese as an assistant manager. I know it sounds cheesy, haha but its a great job. Iam currently being trained for store manager. I am usually not one to talk about myself , haha... ummmm I do like to play video games and am often playing in between spade games and work . Haha. I also play basketball, baseball, soccer, and bowling. You know those ads you fill out for dating sites? Thats what it feels like I am doing. LOL. I bet someone gunna try and pick me up after this.. haha. Well as you guys know i just like to joke around and be myself. I dont particularly judge anyone and all are equal here in Gazers. Hope to be seeing you guys around :D.

2. Where are you from, where do u live now? How does living where u live affect the way you play in gazers?

I am from Hattiesburg, MS. It is about an hour from the coast and an hour and a half from Jackson for those of you who want to know where it is. Or better yet, its an hour and half from New Orleans. Everyone knows where that is. I dont think it really affects the way I play in gazers. I believe Mississippi is butt backwards and no one knows how to play spades anymore in these parts, lol. I see others all the time from other areas but rarely from Misssissippi.

3. After coming into suicide lounge 4, what made you stay? What keeps you in gazers?

I am trying to remember, why did I join? I know the members were very friendly while I was here. I had just broken up with my ex and was playing spades as an escape. The members that were on that night made me laugh for the first time that week. What keeps me here are the friends that I have made, even though all people in Gazers get along or talk to each other, I keep in mind that my friends I have made here are reasons to stay. Its a big family, its like going to a family reunion where you dont know everyone, so you tend to stay in your own little group and branch out every now and then to meet someone new. :P

4. When do you play? Days, or hours? What is the time differnce between where you are and how we play. What do u sacrifice in order to be in gazers?

I usually play on my days off or when my bf is at work. Mainly during the day and occasion I am here at night. I can usually be found Tues/Wed 10-3, Thurs Noon-8, and on an occasion friday or saturday :P

5. What is your favorite game?

I would have to say Suicide or Mirrors.

6. What is your least favorite game?

Street Spades... ugh... hate having to bid 1 if I cant nil. Whoever invented this game needs to be mugged on da street.

7. What advice would you give to a new member or someone wanting to join gazers?

Don't be shy, if you are I'll throw nanners at ya til you warm up. hehe. :) Just have fun, and remember its a family league. Imagine if you had a 7 or 8 year old sitting in your lap while you played and what you would or wouldnt want them to see being typed.

8. Since you are on staff in gazers, is there anything that you have to give up or do different?

I haven't given up to much, just have to balance how many tours I host and play that way I dont do more than the other. Every now and then something happens that I have to talk with a member about or issues with tournies, but nothing out of the ordinary.

9. Do you have a special memory of something that occurred in gazers that you want to share with gazers? Its always special in Gazer-ville :D.

Thank you Zac, for sharing with us. I think you are delightful and an awesome young man. I appreciate your loyalty and your hard work in tding and making new members feel at home!
