Bernie: The other member to be spotlighted this month, needs NO introduction...We all love our singing Kay....

Kay: 1. Tell us about yourself, your family, your hobbies, your work, anything you would like to know about someone else but in reverse. My name is Kay and I am 50 years old and I have been married for 29 years (he has been blessed). I have 2 children, a daughter 27 and a son 22. My daughter is married (I love my son-in-law, he thinks I am the best) and 2 beautiful granddaughters (Ms Emma is 19 months) and Ms. Kylie (the general) is going to be 5 in Oct. I work 2 jobs, by day I am a special education aide in a high school and by night I am a manager/server at an Italian restaurant. I love to sing (bet you didn't know that) and sometimes I sing with a band (totally awesome). I love to cook and I really love to laugh. I'm sorry to tell ya that how I am in the lobby is how I am 24/7. I love to laugh and make other people laugh. Sometimes I am too softhearted and I wear my feelings on my sleeve but then Bernie yanks me. Thank you Bernie!

2. Where are you from, where do you live now? How does living where you live affect the way you play in gazers? I am originally from Texas ( go Cowboys) but I have been in Missouri for the past 31 years (officially hillbilly now).

3. After coming into suicide lounge 4, what made you stay? What keeps you in gazers? I began playing spades for the very first time last Oct. or Nov. ( that explains how I play, huh?). lol A friend showed me the game and I love it. I then discovered Suicide, so I ended up in SSL4. I was in a rated game and I was talking and goofing (imagine that), and a gazer was in there. I wish I could remember his Id, but he doesn't play in gazers anymore. He invited me, so I decided to try it. Best decision I have ever made. I stay because I love the people in gazers so much. They are like my family. The friendships I have made have been such a blessing in my life. I have laughed with so many, sang with all and cried with a few. I'm actually sad when I don't play for a day or two.

4. When do you play? Days, or hours? What is the time difference between where you are and when we play. What do u sacrifice in order to be in gazers? I try to play as often as I can, that is why summer is so great. I can play days during the summer, but this time of year I can only play in the evening on M-W-F and Sat afternoons and Sunday nights. There is an hour difference between my time and gazer time.

5. What is your favorite game? I love all the different games we don't play much...but my favorite is Crazy Spades. I also love Capture the Deuce and Don't get Set.

6. What is your least favorite game? I really don't like Suicide much and Mirrors...ewww they make me look fat...lol that's all I'm gonna say about that.

7. What advice would you give to a new member or someone wanting to join gazers? OMG...someone asked me for advice...Here we go...if you aren't a member yet, I suggest you join immediately, this is the best group of people you shall ever meet. If you are a new member, my advice to you is...be yourself...talk to everyone ( cause some of the quiet ones are not really quiet, they just need a push) always be positive and a good sport and remember it is a game (some you win, some you lose) but if you hurt someone's feelings then we all lose.

8. If you are a td/htd/admin why in the world would you want to do this when you are already at a disadvantage time wise? I'm a td. I don't have a lot of time right now to run tournaments, but I am going to work on learning more about quickies. My hat is off to all the td's that put in tournaments daily and more sometimes. OUR STAFF ROCK!!!

9. What would you change about Gazers if you could, either add to or take away? I am amazed at this group of people. There are so many wonderful people in this league. I laugh so hard sometimes, but I would like people to stop and think sometimes. I love to win, don't get me wrong, but hurtful things said out of frustration cannot be taken back, and at the end of the tournament, my partner's smile means more than a first place win. "Crash", oops I fell off of my soap box...

10. Do you have a special memory of something that occurred in gazers that you want to share with gazers? When I read this question I sat back and thought about this past year. There are so many memories, so many laughs, so many songs and, sighs, even tears. But I think the one that stands out...I asked for a partner in the lobby and no one could so I spammed the gazer list on my messenger ( I know you aren't suppose to so this is just between you and me) my screen popped up like with 8 offers immediately. lol I felt so good. lol Now in conclusion....I want each and every one of you to know that your friendship means the world to me. I love you all. When I come in the lobby and you are not there, you are missed. When you do come in the lobby, well, everything is brighter. My door is always open if you need to talk or want to laugh or feel the need to sing, buzz me. Thank you for asking me Bernie. I am sorry it is so long. I also want to thank Nutty for being such a great leader, thank you Beth for always listening, thank you Claire for the laughs and Bernie for the yanks...

Bernie: No one could have said it better than Kay....She is the most awesome member....and she was truthful when I told her to get a harder skin...she is a soft touch (and her singing.....ummm) We all love Kay..she's an awesome person and the day she joined our league...God Blessed us! Thanks Kay...YANKKKK!!
