Bernie: This month I am spotlighting someone very very important! Not only is she important to me but she's important to the league! When you go into the homepage, have you noticed how beautiful it is? Or how funny? Or how appropriate for the season? Scarlett6799--Deb--is the one who makes these pages! And she's awesome...And this year there was a contest for all of Yahoo/Pogo… NOT just for spades but for all leagues and GUESS WHO WON???????? STARGAZERSSSSSSSSSS of course!!! (Still jumping up and down here!!) Deb made this page and it was entered into the contest. We did not even know of it until it was announced!! Deb does beautiful work and it takes her many hours (days? weeks? even) to get it done. Join with me in congratulating her on her talent and also thanking her for her devotion and time (and hard work) she spends doing things for Gazers! (I, of course, am computer illiterate and am STILL WAITING for her to make me a signature thingydo!!)

She is a great TD and she is a great Admin. I have never seen anyone as FAIR as she is (Me… Not so much… sigh but because of her and fuzzyJudy I am working on it… ) Deb is one of my closest friends, not only on the net but in real life, we talk on the phone often and you know how she is always lol and lmbo? Well, she is just like that in real life too. She is always laughing and seeing the humor in a situation. She doesn't make enemies..and she doesn't meet strangers..To her those 'strangers' are friends she is just now meeting… I am not offering her up for sainthood… but Deb DO NOT ever change and I hope that you are here for Gazers for a very long time to come… Here is Debs Story:

Deb: Hi Bernie and all! My name is Deborah but most call me Deb, Scar, Red or numerous other names lol. I am divorced with a daughter, Danielle, a grandson 3, Keaton, a mother who is not well, Mildred, and blessed with many friends.

I graduated from Alabama, The University in Huntsville, U.A.H. I started out with a Nursing Degree, and later changed to Business Management, and Finance. My career has included many different occupations, including a Loan Officer in a credit union. My ex husband and I ran an insurance agency for many years to help mainly with Health Insurance for Self Employed. I am now semi- retired and have been helping my daughter and grandson.

I have been lucky in that I have traveled and seen so many beautiful places in the world. I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Maybe some of you have heard of the Space Camp? After marrying, I moved several times and managed to stay in Louisiana, where I currently am. Louisiana is a unique state with its own set of rules and cultures. I do have many friends here, and I have stayed involved with the Red Cross, a fund raiser, "Trash and Treasures" and a "Hot Air Balloon Festival," which happens in August. and is lots of fun but hard work. The weather is Humid and Hot!

My daughter, Danielle, introduced me to spades online and at the time I didn't know how to copy and paste lol. I will never forget Jeannie showing me how. I love to play spades, and also found a new love with graphics. Currently I am taking an online class with Paint Shop Pro.

I arrived in Stargazers a few months after it opened. Stardust, many of you may know as Dawn, Horsedoc, Holly, Btrpaso, Mammy, Katie, and Mamakat were all friends of mine. There were many laughs, tears and just pure fun. Did I mention fun? I do so love to joke around. I feel laughter is a stress reliever and plan to do much of it. I later went to a new site for awhile to venture out but never left Stargazers. I have always felt it was my home.

I have not mentioned my brother. His name was Larry. I do have to say he was a wonderful brother, he was many years older than I, but I did so love to follow him around. I will never forget the time he hit me with a softball. cough. I followed him around and wanted to play, of course, he wanted to play softball with his friends and sent me to the "out out out field". lol. He did not know how I wanted to impress him and tried to catch a ball, lol but closed my eyes and it hit me on the neck. Glands swollen, I was young, lol I managed not to cry, hurt like crap. Can you believe the next day, I managed to have the mumps? lol Larry enlisted in the Navy and was later killed in action. I was 15, and this taught me to live each day to the fullest. I think of him often.

Now to the Good Stuff ! Stargazers, I feel is the most caring league, and many events, members have happened over the years.. Recently, accidentally, Fuzzyjudy and I won the Suicide Interleague. I know I was laughing the whole time since she hates suicide and I never win it. lol I have been yanked around by Bernie, called a Scarlett woman, lol, been asked why? by Brightspark, got the enter enter by Dawn, gotten flooded with IMs when, cough, someone played a joke saying my messenger was not working, would you all IM her?, lol and they did, when... I was starting a tourney!, ouch. We have a wonderful staff as you all know, and we do so try to be fair. For any new member my suggestion is this, stay, play, and have fun. You will win some, and you will lose some,. Its not all about winning ! Although we all like to do it! lol. There are many dedicated members and I feel that Stargazers is the family I chose!
