ren_faire_fan September 2008 Cindy has been a gazer since Dec 05. She is the wife of Bob. Cindy doesn’t play as much with her busy lifestyle and all she has to do to take care of Bob (hehehe) but we are hoping that will change. When she is playing, shes a very nice person. One of the things I like best about Cindy is that even if she is not playing, she will come into the lobby to see if she is needed (I have imed her to make me even many times) and just show her supports for gazers by being in the lobby and talking to members. We love you Cindy and wish you could be here more. . Tell us about yourself. Your family, your work, your hobbies--anything you would want to know about someone else- - in reverse. I am married to the best guy in the whole world right now. You all know him as paleghost1 from Gazers. We have been married for 8 years now, but have been together for 10 years. I have four kids from my first marriage - Stephanie 28 , Rebecca & Rachel - 24 (yes they are twins) , and Adam - 21. I have two step kids also - Colin 19 and Sarah - 17. We have 3 grandkids - Jazzminn - 10 , Tanner - 8 , Bailey 2, and my son's second child due sometime early Spring I think. Lets see, work? I don't work outside the home. I consider my job of taking care of things at home-i.e. keein up with dr. appt's etc., and keepin track of where everyone needs to be,and "tryin" to keep up with all the housework and laundry--a BIG JOB in itself !!! HOBBIES- I love to ride the motorcycle with Bob when we get the chance to ride together. I love to bowl, it gives me some down time away from things at home at least once a week. I bowl in a women's league, and Bob and I bowl together in a mixed league. I love my husband and family very much !! 2. Where are you from? Where do u live? I am originally from Lincoln, Illinois. I moved to Indiana during my first marriage. Eventually I moved back to Illinois, and that is where I have been since. I currently reside with my husband Bob and my two stepkids, in a little town just north of Springfield, Illinois. Although, when Bob retires, we will moving to a small town in Missouri ( quiet there ! ). 3. After coming into suicide lounge 4, what made you decide to join gazer? What keeps you in the league?? Most importantly, what brought you back to play in gazers. Oh my , let's see if I can remember way back when I joined Gazers. :-) I think I initially joined when a lot of the players were also in a league under another name. I do remember vaguely leaving the league at one time, but then returning. I joined, I believe, because I knew quite a few of the players already in the league. As far as stayin, I like to play spades (maybe not as often as some),and don't feel like tryin to find another league with friendly people in it ( that I can get along with !!). I think main reason I came back after leaving at one time--I missed some of the friends I had made in the league, and the league was only place to find them. 4. What time do you usually play? I usually end up playing some of the nightly tours, but will occasionally play a daytime tour if it is on the weekends. 5. What is your favorite game? FAVORITE - hmmmm I have several I guess-- BID 3 or NIL , REG and sometimes I don't mind playing SUICIDE 6. What is your least favorite game! right off is " Last Man Dead " 7. What advice would you give to a person considering joining gazers or have just joined? Enjoy yourself and If you have any questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to ask. There should be any Gazer willing to help you out if they can. AND, most of all try and have fun !!!! Just a couple that come to minwith the other members? 8. Is there any story, or memory of an event that occurred in gazers that you would like to share right off. I wholeheartedly relate to when James - milkman was tellin us when his son went to the service. My youngest is now in the NAVY, and I worry every single day that he may get sent overseas. And, the other is RICK - a.k.a Kermit lover ! I loved it when he told some of his jokes in the lobby. And, then of course, a person NEVER forgets when they lose a friend that was a Gazer (whether former or current). Since both you and Bob are members and occasionally both of you play or you play in a tourney that Bob is td'ing is there any problems or any competition between you 2? NO, I don't feel like there are any problems with us both bein in same household and playin spades in same league. If there is a random tour, and I see that Bob is in it, a lot of times I may not get in. I guess in my mind, I don't wanna run risk of gettin partnered with him, and causin talk within the league. Granted he is a bit more aggressive in his playing than I am. I am there for fun, and if I win ok--if not ok. It's only a game. If he is runnin a tour himself, and I decide to play in it. BELIEVE ME everyone--he will play no favorites just cause I am playing. He sticks to the rules-regardless of the fact I am his wife. As for competition between us? No, I don't think so.
