Bernie: The Golden Shield of Assistance Medal is awarded to those players who have gone the extra mile in demonstrating outstanding patience and always lend a hand to ensure a smooth running tournament. Red (red_thair) is a true recipient of this award. He has been making videos for our league to help the TDs make better, smoother tourneys and he has also made some videos to help the members get into the tourneys with less hassle. I know that some of the newer ones appreciate this. Red has been a gazer for some time and he is always pleasant to be around, always courteous, and always so thoughtful to the league. We appreciate Red and all he does for the league. Thank you, Red, for all you do for Gazers..You truly deserve this award!! and in saying that...Red also allowed me to spotlight him this month! Here is Reds story:

Red: 1. Tell us about yourself. Your family, your hobbies, your work, anything you would like to know about someone else but in reverse.

My name is Thaer Sadi Taha ,I am an anesthesiologist age 34. I like soccer and I am a big fan of Liverpool FC. Ilove traveling and meeting new people. Although I have so many friends, my real and best friend is my wife Lina. We both are so honest and tell each other everything that friends share like (I met a very beautiful lady today who tried to flirt with me but I showed her the ring). God blessed me with two kids Samir,4 years old boy and Rula, 10 months old girl.

2. Where are you from, where do u live now?

I was born in Iraq and I spent all my life there, specifically in Baghdad, the capital.

3. After coming into suicide lounge 4, what made you stay? What keeps you in gazers?

Well, so many reasons, a) I learned in stargazers league what good friends and a good sport are. b) I met people here who do everything and ask for nothing. c) always fun and always supporting. d) but the primary reason is that I learned here how to be a better person when daily communicating with an awesome group.

4. When do you play? Days, or hours?

I play 3 to 5 days a week,day time tournaments mostly.

5. What is your favorite game?

suey, capture the deuce, lucky 7 and dirty mirrors I like true swiss and random partners tourneys

6. What is your least favorite game?

Street spades , It is so slow and rarely finished before last hand

7. What advice would you give to a new member or someone wanting to join gazers?

If he/she decided to join us they will need no more advice. The best advice is to join us and will never regret it.

8. Do you have a special memory of something that occurred in gazers that you want to share with gazers?

Yes ,4 years ago a person asked to play suicide in lobby and was unranked and no one wanted to play with him/her and they had no idea what suey or leagues were. We made a table and he played 3 games with 7 gazers participating. This happened with an ongoing tourney so we were changing seats. He/she thanked us a lot and said he would join us soon. You can't see so many nice people other than gazers

9. If you are staff, what do you have to give up in order to play or run tourneys for us? What ticks you off or makes you happy?

I can help if needed even if I am tired or feel so sleepy but i am an employee so i can't help when i have work. If at home I can always find time. What makes me happy is big tours when many players are in and I hate when we don't find players to even play 1 vs 1 tourney.

Bernie: Like I said earlier, Red is an awesome Gazer! He has a hard life in Iraq, and I know that one day he wants to come to the USA to live. I hope that he gets his wish...Not only does Gazers profit from him being a member of the Gazer family, but the USA would also. Thanks for all you do Red!
