Bernie: Tim is one of the Admin in Stargazers. He is an HTD and is always here when his health allows him to be. He’s on the shy side and doesn't really like to talk about himself but I persuaded him to share a little bit and let us all know a bit more about him~~of course for some of us nosey ones (did I say that?) it’s never enough. If you want to know more than this about Tim, you are just gonna have to strike up a conversation and ask!!

Tim: I come from a small town in Texas, Henderson. I enjoyed a lot of sports and games as a kid. I also enjoyed playing music on my trombone, riding bicycles, swimming, riding horses, feeding cows, motorcycles and pole vaulting. I was the youngest of 5 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. All this sounds like we had plenty of money, my mom worked at a sewing factory for years and then worked at a fiberglass company and my dad was a part-time preacher and worked at a tire company. The summers were BBQ hamburgers and watermelon and on Sundays after church we went to the grandparents for a big roast dinner at their farmhouse. I can still hear my mom calling me from the backdoor to come home to eat at supper.

As for now, we moved from Henderson to Tyler TX when I was 14. I worked through the years quitting job after job doing anything and everything to make a dollar to survive. I’ve done anything from planting flowers to washing dishes, mowing yards to hauling trash , I just can’t keep a job for a long period of time . My dad was a very understanding man but also knew that everyone had their part in life. He would often say things of wisdom that still have meaning to me today. After my dad passed, then my granddad passed, then my grandmother, I have been devoted to taking care of my mother. I told my dad the night before he died, I said I will take care of mom, not knowing that later that night about 3am he would pass on.

I guess soon after that I purchased a computer and a few years later found myself playing spades. I learned how to play when I was 17 years old when I was hospitalized. But after I left the hospital I would not play the game again until I bought my 1st computer because I had no one to play with. Was 18 years later I found a game on Yahoo, a game that had been stored away for years. Once I played my 1st game of spades I was excited to know I didn’t have to keep this fun locked away inside of me. Lately I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to play and run tournaments. But to let you all know, I will be back playing and running tournaments as many and as often as I can as soon as possible.

I don’t really have a favorite game. When I feel like playing whatever game is scheduled is good with me. It’s all for fun. It’s getting late and I need to get some sleep. Last thing I'll say is that I enjoy having a place where we can all get together and express ourselves and have a relaxing activity. So come hang your coat and hat and sit down and play yourselves some spades right here in the best league on the net. I love you all for the hard work you’re doing to keep this league going and I hope to be more involved soon. Happy spading! Timmy

Bernie: Timmy, We all want you to start feeling better and start coming back in more but we understand. We love you Timmy and thank you for all you do in and for Stargazers!!
