anselmolinda April 2009 Bernie: The 2nd member being spotlighted this month is anselmolinda (Linda). To know Linda is to love her. She is outspoken (sigh usually right too), loyal (doesn't hurt her friends), and so funny (she fits real well in gazers)! She’s a great friend to have. Linda recently went thru her own cancer scare. She was in the hospital for a couple of weeks for surgery and I am so happy that she is ok now and back in Stargazers where she belongs!! Here is what Linda had to say. Bernie: 1. Tell us about yourself, your family, your hobbies, your work, anything you would like to know about someone else but in reverse. Linda: When I was 2 weeks before turning 40 I wanted to be a bad girl after always being the good girl and went out and got myself a tattoo. So you can all guess what gummy got...lol and where she got it. I was born in Germany. My father was American, my mother German. So I am a military brat. I have an older sister. My daughter lives in the LA area going to college & she is the apple of my eye. I collect teddy bears, and seashells. I am in early retirement due to my health. I work 2 times a week in a shoe store and that is very bad for me. I am a shoe junkie so you know where all my money goes if I have any. I grew up in Alabama and have traveled the world. I live with 2 men. They have together 8 legs lmao. They are my 2 boys Rudi and Oliver, my 2 cats. Bernie: 2. Where are you from? Where do you live now? How does living where you live affect the way you play in Stargazers? Liinda: I live in Frankfurt Germany and have lived here now for 22 years. I sometimes stay up long hours just to play, being that I am 6 hours ahead of Stargazers. Thank God I am in retirement or I could not do it lol. So if I play the middy it is a all-nighter for me and I am too old for that all the time. Bernie: 3. After coming into suicide lounge 4, what made you stay? What keeps you in Stargazers? Linda: The reason I stayed is I thought you were all crazy as hell and I felt right at home. I love it in Stargazers. It is such a warm family league and I do have my special people that I love very much they know who they are with out me saying any names. That is why my name is Gazers Gummybear. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and did not know if I had cancer or not again. I felt so much love from my gazers and the prayers and the thoughts just gave me lots of strength. Bernie: 4. When do you play? Days or hours? What is the time difference between where you are and league time? What do you sacrifice in order to be in Stargazers? Linda: I play anytime I can, be it days or nights. What I sacrifice in Stargazers?? George Clooney keeps asking me out and I keep telling him I don’t have any time. I have to play spades at Stargazers. Bernie: 5. What is your favorite game? Linda: The ones I win. Bernie: 6. What is your least favorite game? Linda: The ones I lose. Bernie: 7. What advice would you give to a new member or someone wanting to join Stargazers? Linda: Just feel the love we have here. Have fun and remember when I am at your table rules say I get to win with my p. hehehehe Bernie: 8. Do you have a special memory of something that occurred in Stargazers that you want to share with others? Linda: Yes I do. When my friend Cheeky got hurt at work and I did not know if she would make it or not and I talked to her the first time I bawled like a baby on the phone and it was the first time I cried in over a year. This showed me how much she means to me even if she is a pain in the azz sometimes lmao. The reason I am saying this is to tell you all how close we grow together as friends. Trust me if any of you ever need someone to talk to there are such awesome people in Stargazers that have such big hearts. Bernie: What Linda doesn't seem to realize is that SHE has one of the biggest hearts in Stargazers. I hope she stays for a very, very long time. TRIPLES with EMMA
