April 2009

Bernie: The first to be highlighted this month is lfcfrom1970 or Brian. By the way, Brian, welcome back to Admin ~ We missed your hard work!! Brian is very well known in Stargazers because he is a great guy, a terrific card player (I taught him all he knows!) and is always available to help out anyone. He’s British so it’s not his fault he thinks he’s always right! pffttttttttt! Here is what Brian has to say.....

Bernie: 1. Tell us about yourself, your family, your hobbies, your work, anything you would like to know about someone else but in reverse.

Brian: I’m married to Teri 6 years in August (some will know her feisty cow but tell her lol) I'm currently not working due to illness but hope to get back soon, hobbies hmm football (not soccer darn Americans lol) what would I like to know? Hmmm. Where does Krissy go with all those bags?

Bernie: 2. Where are you from? Where do you live now? How does living where you live affect the way you play in Stargazers?

Brian: I live in the north west of England U.K. about 30 miles north of Liverpool small-ish town called Leyland famous for truck and bus building, being 5 hours in front should affect my playing but I worked 10 years on nights so I'm a night owl.

Bernie: 3. After coming into suicide lounge 4, what made you stay? What keeps you in Stargazers?

Brian: I came in to ssl4 by accident, was a virgin spader, saw all these nice people talking. They offered an invite to join the league never looked back (hmm think there was another who joined same week who was that Bernie? lol) What keeps me? Hmmm. Well, I have to say it’s the friendship I have found though we may never meet in the flesh I count many as dear friends.

Bernie: 4. When do you play? Days or hours? What is the time difference between where you are and league time? What do you sacrifice in order to be in Stargazers?

Brian: I guess I don't sacrifice much, I play whenever I'm awake which is often lol, so if you see my light on buzz me I’m always up to play spades.

Bernie: 5. What is your favorite game?

Brian: Hmm. Most would say reg but........ I'd have to say crazy spades is a close runner with 530 btw wooden nickel stinks lol

Bernie: 6.. What is your least favorite game?

Brian: Wooden nickel and mirrors was suicide but I’m warming to suey.

Bernie: 7. What advice would you give to a new member or someone wanting to join Stargazers?

Brian: Do. You'll never regret the new friends you will find. Advice? Hmm. Be yourself and enjoy the family atmosphere. There's none better.

Bernie: 8. Do you have a special memory of something that occurred in gazers that you want to share with gazers?

Brian: I think as with most gazers it has to be Rick, a special angel. I’m not an emotional person per se but he made me smile, chuckle, and lol at times and then made me cry reading his goodbye letter. But I feel blessed I had time to share with him. There are many other occasions but Rick stays in my mind more.

Bernie: 9. You are an admin in the greatest league on the net. Why do you do it? What keeps you doing it? Is it worth it?

Brian: At times I wonder lol, because? It's giving a bit back and I like to help where I can. Is it worth it? 99% of the time. The 1% I forget lol.

Bernie: Brian, we are honored to have you in Gazers. You are an exceptional person and we love you. Now please try to lighten up a bit and learn you don't have to use those pesky UUUs. YANKKKK
