Stargazers Admin Responsibilities
ADMIN RESPONSIBILITIES - AS OF 12 MAY 2012
Nutty Judy - suicide.nuts - Head Admin
- 1. Admin issues - Contact point for all Admin issues and concerns. Resolve Admin conflicts.
- 2. Schedule and conduct regular Admin meetings.
- 3. Update awards on main page as tourneys are held.
- 4. Award TD incentives if applicable.
- 5. Admin training - Train new Admin to use the MyLeague Admin Center & Stargazers Admin Center.
- 6. Check logs and inform the rest of Admin of odd things going on.
- 7. BOL Interleague Rep - in charge of overseeing the Qualifier, getting participants information to register and representing Stargazers at the interleague tourney or notifying backup if you cannot be there.
- 8. Suicide Interleague Rep - in charge of overseeing the Qualifier, getting participants information to register and representing Stargazers at the interleague tourney or notifying backup if you cannot be there.
- 9. Track Baseball & Football contests.
- 10. Work with staff on probation, scheduling the required number of tourneys to avoid removal from staff.

- 1. Newsletter - Coordinate with Admin, Staff & Members to acquire information needed by deadline. Send to proofreader for HTML formatting and spelling corrections.
- 2. Birthdays and Anniversaries - Send e-cards to those members with birthdays on file and membership anniversaries of record.

- 1. Inactive Members - Review potential purges on inactive list and prevent them from purging, when appropriate.
- 2. Ratings credits - Coordinate with non-Admin staff the information required to enter ratings credits from 21, Claire's Club & Gazers Feud. Make sure they show in the dailies. If other Admin run a "ratings award" tourney, they will post their own ratings credits.

- 1. Create training videos for league staff & members.
- 3. Offer refresher training for existing staff, where needed.

- 1. Create graphics for the main page & special occasions.
- 2. Special promotions - Gazer Angels program, etc.
- 3. Newsletter - Proofread and add HTML formatting for the newsletter (work with Admin responsible for creating the newsletter).

- 1. Liaison with members for new game ideas. Create written rules for new games. Test new games with members and determine if the game is right for league. Recommend new games to Admin for review & approval. Recommend unpopular games for Admin review & deletion. Report to Admin any errors in existing game rules.
- 2. Spam staff for open tourney slots each night for the following day or 2. Ensure the calendar is full and remains full. Encourage odd-hour tourneys, when possible.
- 3. Ensure that new members are welcomed and assist new members with any questions or problems they may have.

- 1. Member Spreadsheet - Update, review for duplicate ID's, inappropriate nics, etc.
- 2. Daily Activity Logs - Update & maintain a spreadsheet of daily activity logs to record history beyond Cases 60 days.
- 3. Birthdays and Anniversaries - Update & post monthly on league website and send info by email to all Admin by the end of the month.
- 4. TD Info Center - Maintain the center and add links when applicable. Responsible for the TD Center HTML and updating any changes.
- 5. Admin Center - Maintain the center and add links when applicable. Work with direction from the HA & responsible for the Admin Center HTML and updating any changes.
- 6. Game & League Rules - Keep HTML current for games and other links on the main page.
- 7. Awards page - Keep HTML and data current.
- 8. Specials Calendar - Develop, present to Admin for review and post the calendar each month.
- 9. Contests - Track contests (exceptions are Baseball & Football).
- 10. Map - Update league map with member locations.{Map is currently not functional}
- 11. Modules - Update Tournaments & Community Pages with current information.

- 1. Monitor the standings for members with low Bux.
- 2. Create and maintain a list of Diamond & Platinum members willing to gift members with low Bux.

Duties not Assigned

- 3. TD Manager - host staff (HTD/TD) meetings, communicate with staff to keep them up to date on changes.
- 4. Assign HTD Trainers to train new staff.
- 5. Check the daily tourney pages for content.
a. We are a family league but we are not prudes. We are a little more lax in the 10PM and 12AM slots. No profanity, no nips, cracks or dangly bits.
b. Check to make sure there are default rules and game rules that match the game listed.
c. Ensure that duplicate games are not played on the same day and that the tourney entry fees are correct.
d. Notify the TD of any mistakes and ask them to correct them. If you have any complaints from staff, contact Nutty Judy.
- 6. Send out letters to staff who are not running the minimum required tourneys per month. Current requirements are 10 for HTD & 8 for Admin per month. TDs are expected to direct at least 2-3 per month.
All Admin
- 1. Member discipline - Team review, approval & handling of member discipline issues.
- 2. Update user records to document any warnings, complaints, boxings, or other issues.
- 3. Provide lobby coverage when possible. Admin are expected to meet an 8 tourney per month minimum.
- 4. Handle lobby disruptions at private table or in IM, including screen shots & other documentation.
- 5. Assist staff with tournament starts, player pairings, watching tables in big (5+ tables) tourneys, etc. to help tourneys run smoothly.
- 6. Submit any news/ideas for the newsletter.
- 7. Watch for inappropriate postings in the forum and CBox.
- 8. Game variations - recommend new game variations (including rules) for Admin approval. Recommend removing games that are not being played or have confusing rules.
INTERLEAGUE REP - RESPONSIBILITIES
- Currently, Stargazers is participating in 2 Interleagues. Battle of Leagues (BOL) & Suicide. An Admin or HTD has been assigned to represent Stargazers in each Interleague, with a 2nd Admin or HTD assigned as Backup Rep to the Interleague. The Interleague Rep has the following responsibilities:
- 1. Direct or oversee the direction of a Qualifier tourney on a pre-determined date based upon the Specials Calendar.
- 2. Notify the 4 finalists by email that includes specific information regarding the Interleague tourneys in which they are expected to participant. Links to current notification letters are below.
- 3. Ensure that the members representing Stargazers are registered properly and in the lobby at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the Interleague tourney.
- 4. Find replacement players for no show members or teams and ensure the replacement players are registered properly and in the lobby prior to the tourney start time.
- 5. Be present in the Interleague lobby during the tourney. Assist the TD if required. Assist & encourage our members during their tourney games.
- 6. Ensure that the opponents are actually members of the league they are representing. Go to their league's standing and do a search. Ask the TD to DQ the player if they are not a member of the opposing league.
- 7. Keep the Stargazers lobby informed regarding the progress of the interleague games and their ultimate outcomes.
- 8. If a Stargazers team wins their tourney and the playoff, post the results in the Forum and notify the Admin in charge of the Awards page of their accomplishment.
