4Fun's Swiss Questionnaire

The following is a set of questions pertaining to the running of a Swiss tournament. After your trainee has gone over the Swiss Guide, please ask the following questions. If your trainee misses any of these questions, please go over the correct answer with them before moving on to running a Swiss tournament.



Welcome to the Swiss Questionnaire!

  1. What do you need to put on the main page of your tournament?

  2. What happens if a player times out of a round?

  3. What is the difference between a true swiss and a regular swiss?

  4. What do you need to do before advancing to the next round?

  5. Can a player remove themself?

  6. In a doubles swiss...if one player is MIA and you have a sub for 2 rounds (2 losses) do you need to do anything additional?

  7. In a doubles swiss...if one player is MIA and you have a sub for 2 rounds (1 win 1 loss) do you need to do anything additional?

  8. What happens when you click to advance and you see a match highlighted in blue?

  9. Now if you get through advancing a round and find out you reported a match incorrectly, what do you do?

  10. Now if you get through advancing a round and find out you left someone in that you needed to take out, what do you do?

At this point you would then go to your HTD menu and click on Swiss System TDs. Go down the list to find your trainee's name and check the box beside their name. Be sure to hit "Update Swiss Access" at the bottom. Your trainee will now be swiss approved and able to make swiss tournaments.
