GAME FORMAT ACES REQUIREMENTS

2 GINS 2 WIN NK Any The first person to gin two times is the winner.

3-D NK Low If you have the run of JACK, QUEEN, and KING of DIAMONDS when you gin, it is an auto win.

4 IN A ROW KNOCK

H/L If your score ever ends in a 4 (4, 14, 24, 34, 44, 54, 64, 74, 84 or 94) or if you gin with four 4's in set form (4444), you automatically win.

7 DOWN NK Low All cards played in your hand must be 7 or lower when you gin.

7 UP NK H/L All cards played in your hand must be 7 or higher when you gin.

8 BALL KNOCK Any You must use an 8 in some way when you gin or knock ... in a SET, in a RUN, as your DEADWOOD, or as your DISCARD. If you have all four 8's in set form when you gin, then you automatically win.

9 LIVES NK Any You must use an 9 in some way when you gin. If you have all four 9's in set form, then you automatically win.

9 TO 5 KNOCK Any You must use a 5 or a 9 in a set or a straight when you knock or gin.

24 KARAT Any Any If your score ends in a 2 or a 4, you automatically win. If your score is ever exactly 24, then you automatically lose.

69 SLIME Any Any If your score is ever exactly 69, it is an auto win.

ACE IN THE HOLE KNOCK Low
You can only knock with an Ace as deadwood (1 point).

ACES WILD KNOCK Low If your score ever ends in a 1 (1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81, 91) or if you gin with four Aces in set form (AAAA), you automatically win.

ADD IT UP KNOCK Any The host will select a number between 1 and 10 at the beginning of the match. If your score ADDS UP to the magic number, then you will automatically win.

ALL OR NOTHING NK Any You must have all sets OR you must have all runs in your hand when you gin. You do not have to tell your opponent which you are trying for ... sets or runs. Each hand can change as long as you have all of one (sets or runs).

BANNED Any Any BLACK RUNS are BANNED. You can have all sets and/or red runs ... but absolutely no black runs.

BASEBALL KNOCK Any You cannot use any 3's or 9's in y our hand when you knock or gin. If your score is ever 44, it is an auto win.

BLACK ADDER Any Any You must have at least 1 BLACK RUN of 3 or more cards in your hand and you must discard a BLACK CARD when you gin or knock.

BLACK BEAUTIES Any Any You cannot discard any BLACK QUEENS. If you are dealt or draw a black queen, you have to use it or hold it.

BLACK HOLE NK H/L BLACK 6s, 7, and 8s are NOT ALLOWED.

BLACK JACK NK Any If you discard a BLACK JACK when you gin, you automatically win.

BLACK MAGIC KNOCK Any You are not allowed to discard BLACK 3's. If you do, you automatically lose.

BLOCK OF FOUR NK Any You must have a 4-card SET or a 4-card RED RUN in your hand when you gin. The run can only have 4 cards.

BOTTOMLESS NK Low You may only use cards 5 and higher ... Aces, twos, threes, and fours are not allowed.

BROKEN HEARTS Any Any You cannot use the 7, 8, or 9 of hearts in hand when you knock or gin.

BUCKLE MY SHOE NK Low You cannot have any Aces or 2's in your hand when you gin.

BUSTED KNOCK Any In order to knock or gin, you must have one card of each suit in your hand ... one spade, one heart, one club, one diamond. Hint: If you have a set of four cards, you will have all four suits in your hand.

CAVEMAN ANTICS NK Any You must discard a CLUB when you gin.

CHECKERS NK Any The table setter must use red cards only (red straights only). The opponent must use only black cards (black straights only).

CHECKMATE NK Any If you have all four KINGS in your hand when you gin, you automatically win.

COAL MINER KNOCK Any You cannot pick up any black cards from the discard pile. You may use black cards in your hand in any way you like as long

DEVIL'S BACKBONE OKIE Any You cannot discard any 6's. If you are dealt or draw a 6, you have to use it or hold it. However, if your score ends in 6 at anytime, it's a auto win.

DEVIL'S HANDYMAN NK H/L You must use a BLACK JACK or a BLACK KING when you gin.

DEVILISH ANGELS NK Any If you gin with 3 ACES, 3 SIXES, and a 4-card set or run, then you win. Example: 666,AAA, 2345

DIAMONDLESS KNOCK Any You cannot have any DIAMONDS in your hand when you KNOCK or GIN. If you do, it's a DQ.

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER KNOCK Any You must have at least a three card run of diamonds in your hand when you knock or gin.

DIRTY CARD NK Any Whatever card is turned up from the deal cannot be used when you gin. If you do, it's a DQ.
Note: Up card can change each new deal.

DOUBLE TROUBLE OKIE Any If your score is double odds (11,33,55,77,99), you automatically lose. If your score is double evens (22,44,66,88), you automatically win.

DR PEPPER Any Any You must use a 2, 4, or 10 in a set or a run when you knock or gin.

DRAGON'S FIRE NK H/L You must use a RED QUEEN or a RED 7 in a set or a straight OR as your discard.

DREADED 99 KNOCK Any If your total score is the dreaded 99, you lose.

ENDLESS NK Low You may not have any Aces, 2s, 3s, OR any Face Cards (Js, Qs, Ks) when you gin.

EVENS AND ODDS NK Low The table setter may only have even sets. The opponent may only have odd sets. No face cards allowed.

EVIL 6'S Any Any If your score ends in a 6 at anytime, you lose.

FACELESS NK Low You may not have any face cards in your hand when you gin. No JQK allowed. You may discard them at anytime.

FAST HAND NK Any First person to gin wins the game.

FATAL 4'S KNOCK Any You cannot discard 4's. If you are dealt a 4 or draw a 4, you have to keep it. If you get all four 4's in your hand, it is an auto loss.

FIRE & ICE NK Any You may only have 2 straights in your hand when you gin ... one red straight and one black straight.

FIRST TO KNOCK WALKS KNOCK Any First person to knock wins. You cannot gin ... you must knock. If you underknock or gin, you lose.

Any The first hand must be played as KNOCK ONLY game. The second hand must be played as GIN ONLY. You will alternate each deal.

FOLLOW THE QUEEN KNOCK Low You must have a run of QJ10 in your hand when you knock or gin. No Kings allowed in this game. You may add to the lower side of the run ... QJ1098 but not to the higher side.

FOOTBALL KNOCK Any When you knock or gin, you cannot have any 6's or 4's in your hand or it's an auto loss. If your score is exactly 64 at any point, it's an auto win.

FORBIDDEN NK Any The first card turned up at the beginning deal determines the forbidden suit for that hand. You may not use the forbidden suit. Note: The forbidden suit can change each deal.

FOUR CORNERS NK Any The table setter must have straights in hearts and spades only. Their opponent must have straights in diamonds and clubs only. You only need to have one straight ... the rest can be anything else.

FOUR OF A KIND NK Any If you have any four of a kind in your hand when you gin, then you automatically win.

FRAIDY 9 NK Any If the 9 OF SPADES lands in the discard pile at any point, you must pick it up. You may use it or you may discard it at a later time.

GET LOOSE KNOCK Any If you and your opponent ever have a tied score, the first player to break the tie wins the match.

GET SET TO RUN NK Any If the first upcard is BLACK, you play STRAIGHTS ONLY. If the first upcard is RED, you play SETS ONLY. Note: The game can change each deal.

GOT SKUNKED OKIE Low The first person called in pairings must use the even numbered black cards (2,4,6,8,10 of spades and clubs). The second person must use the odd numbered black cards (Ace,3,5,7,9 of spades and clubs). Both players can use the face cards (JQK) and the red cards (hearts and diamonds).

Any Any This is Setter's Choice with a twist ... the host will call pairs and assign a table. The first person to reach the table calls the game.

HAWAII 5-O KNOCK Any You must use a 5 or a 10 in a set or a straight when you knock or gin. And if your score is ever exactly 50, you automatically win!

HEART THROB NK Any You must discard a heart when you gin.

HEARTS NK Any You must have at least ONE RUN OF HEARTS in your hand when you gin.

HELL'S KITCHEN KNOCK Any You must gin or knock with a set of 5's, 6's or J's.

HIGH FIVE NK Low You must have a set of one of the five highest cards (9, 10, J, Q, K) when you gin.

HIGH NOON KNOCK Low This is a knock or gin game; however, you can only knock with 5 or more as deadwood.

HIGH OR LOW KNOCK Low If the upcard is A-5, then you play GIN ONLY.
If the upcard is 6-K, then you play KNOCK ONLY.

HIGH ROLLER NK H/L If you gin with all four aces, you win.

HOT POTATO KNOCK Any If you are dealt or draw the designated "hot potato" card, you cannot discard it at any time. Host will choose the "hot potato" before tourney.

You must use a JACK and a Jill (QUEEN) when you knock or gin. They may both be used in your hand ... or one may be your final discard.

NK Low You must have one set of face cards (ie, JJJ, QQQ, or KKKK) or have one run with a face card (ie, 8910J or JQK) in your hand when you gin.

JACKS OR BETTER NK Low You must have at least one set of Jacks, Queens, or Kings to gin.

JOKERS WILD NK Any If you have all four JACKS in your hand when you gin, you automatically win. Jacks must be in SET form (JJJJ).

JUNGLE MADNESS KNOCK Any You cannot pick up from the discard pile at all.

KING OF THE JUNGLE KNOCK Any If you knock with the KING OF CLUBS as your DEADWOOD, it is an automatic win.

KNOCK TO THE MAX OKIE Low You can only knock with the card matching the upcard as your deadwood. If upcard is a Jack, then you can only knock with a Jack as your deadwood. If the upcard is an Ace, then you can only knock with an Ace as your deadwood.

LADIES FIRST NK Any If you have all four QUEENS in your hand in SET form (QQQQ) when you gin, then you auto win.

LUCK OF THE IRISH KNOCK Any If you GIN with all four 7's in a set, you auto win.

MADHATTER KNOCK Any You must use an ACE somehow in your hand when you knock or gin ... in a set or run, as your deadwood, or as your discard.

MIRROR MIRROR OKIE Any If your score is exactly 13, you automatically win. If your score is exactly 31, you automatically lose.

MIX AND MATCH NK Any You must have at least ONE RUN and ONE SET when you gin.

MIXED UP NK Any You must have at least ONE RUN and TWO SETS when you gin.

KNOCK Any Whatever the first upcard is must be used in a set or run when you knock or gin. Example: If the upcard is a 4, then you must use a 4 in your hand when you knock or gin.

MOVE LIKE JAGGER KNOCK Any The first person to knock and win 2 hands wins the match. Gins and underknocks count as lost hands.

NAUGHTY 9'S OKIE Any If your score ever adds up to 9, you automatically win. Winning scores are 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, or 81.

NAUGHTY NICKELS KNOCK Any You cannot discard 5's. If you are dealt or draw a 5, you must use it or hold it.

NIFTY 50 OR NOT Any Any If your score is exactly 50, it's an autowin. If it's ever 51-59, it's an autoloss.

NO 2'S TO 22 NK Any You cannot have any 2's in your hand when you gin. First person to 22 points wins.

NO 3'S TO 33 NK Any You cannot have any 3's in your hand when you gin. First person to 33 points wins.

NO 4'S TO 44 NK Any You cannot have any 4's in your hand when you gin. First person to 44 points wins.

NO 5'S TO 55 NK Any You cannot have any 5's in your hand when you gin. First person to 55 points wins.

NO 6'S TO 66 NK Any You cannot have any 6's in your hand when you gin. First person to 66 points wins.

NO 7'S TO 77 NK Any You cannot have any 7's in your hand when you gin. First person to 77 points wins.

NO KNOCK NK Any This is the basic GIN ONLY game.

NO LADIES ALLOWED NK Any You cannot have any queens in your hand when you gin.

NO MEN ALLOWED NK Any You cannot have any jacks or kinds in your hand when you gin.

NO MIDDLE NK Any You cannot have any 6's, 7's, or 8's in your hand when you gin.

NO ROYALTY HERE NK Low You cannot have any Queens or Kings in your hand when you gin.

OKIE Any If your score is ever double digits (11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99) or ends in 8 (8, 18, 28, 38, 48, 58, 68, 78, 88, 98), you automatically win.

OKIE CORRAL OKIE Any If the upcard is BLACK, you play KNOCK ONLY.
If the upcard is RED, you play GIN ONLY.
Note: This can change each hand.

OKIE NO KNOCK OKIE Any You cannot knock in this game ... you must GIN.

OKIE POKIE OKIE Any You can only knock with 5 points or less as deadwood no matter what the first upcard is. You can gin at anytime.

OKIE POP OKIE Any If your score ends in double digits at any time, you automatically win.

OKLAHOMA OKIE Any This is the basic Oklahoma gin game.
You may knock or gin.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT OKIE Any If your total score is exactly 25, you win.
If your total score is exactly 52, you lose.

QUARTERS OKIE Any If your score is ever 25, 50, or 75 at anytime during the game, then you automatically win.

QUICK SAND Any Any If your score is ever 30, 60, or 90 at anytime during the game, then you automatically lose.

READY SET RUN NK Any You can only have 1 set and 1 run in your hand when you gin.

RED DRAGON Any Any You must have at least one RED RUN of 3 or more cards in your hand ... and you must discard a RED CARD when you knock or gin.

RED HOT KNOCK Any You cannot pick up any red cards from the discard pile. However, you may use any red cards that are dealt to you or that you draw.

REGULAR GIN KNOCK Any This is a regular allow knocking gin game.

NK Any At the beginning of each hand, the dealer chooses whether he will play ALL RED or ALL BLACK. The opponent will play the other color.
Note: Players will alternate calling the color.

ROYAL FLUSH NK H/L If you have a run of 10,J,Q,K,A in any suit in your hand when you gin, you automatically win.

RUNAWAY NK Any You must gin with ONE RED RUN, ONE BLACK RUN, and ONE ANYTHING ELSE that doesn't continue on one of your other runs.
Ex: 234 hearts, 456 spades, JJJJ

SACRED 7'S KNOCK Any You cannot discard 7's at any time. However, if you gin with all four 7's in your hand, you automatically win the match.

SANDWICH NK Low You must gin with the following combination in your hand ... 3-card low set, 4-card middle run, 3-card high set. Note: Your run must be "sandwiched" between your sets with no overlapping/sharing numbers. Example: 222, 5678, JJJ

SCORE 1 KNOCK Low If you score 1 point at anytime during the game, you automatically win. Underknock does NOT count.

SEESAW NK Low First person called in pairings plays 7 UP (may only use cards 7 and higher).
Opponent plays 7 DOWN (may only use cards 7 and lower).
Game alternates each deal.

SET IT STRAIGHT NK Any The table setter decides if the game will be Sets Only ... or Straights ... for the entire match to 100.

SETS NK Any You must have all sets in your hand when you gin.

SETTERS CHOICE Any Any First person called to set the table chooses the game ... no knock, allow knock or okie ... and sets the table accordingly. Game should be called in lobby before setting the table.

SEVENTH HEAVEN KNOCK Any You must use a 7 in some way when you knock or gin ... either in a set or straight, as deadwood, or as discard.

SEXY 60'S KNOCK Any If your score is ever exactly 60, yell "SEXY 60" in the lobby and win 600 bux. Each time your total score is any other 60-something number (61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69), you will win 100 bux.

SHAKE IT UP NK Any You must have 1 BLACK RUN, 1 RED RUN, AND 1 SET in your hand when you gin.

SHIPWRECK AK H/L If you knock or gin with a SET OF 4's, it's an auto-win. However, if your opponent has a 9 in a RUN or a SET, it cancels the auto-win and play continues.

SIMON SAYS NK Any Once the cards are dealt, the table setter will decide if the hand will be sets or straights. The second player chooses the game after the second deal. "Simon" alternates each hand.

SPADES Any Any You must have at least one run of spades in your hand and you must discard a spade when you gin.

SPLIT RAIL Any Any You cannot have any Aces, 7's, or Kings in your hand when you knock or gin.

STIR THE POT NK Any You must have 2 RUNS and 1 SET when you gin.

STRAIGHTS NK Any You must have all STRAIGHTS in your hand when you gin. Example: 234567 etc. No sets allowed.

NK Any This game is used in DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURS ONLY. Upper bracket plays STRAIGHTS. Lower bracket plays SETS.

STRIP GIN KNOCK Any At the beginning the game the host will announce the forbidden suit. You cannot use the forbidden suit at anytime ... it has been "stripped" from the game.

Any You must have THREE separate SETS or RUNS containing THREE cards in each ... and then you MUST KNOCK with ONE REMAINING CARD.

TRUMPS NK Any You must discard a SPADE when you gin.

TWIST OF FATE KNOCK Any If the upcard is BLACK, you play KNOCK ONLY.
If the upcard is RED, you play GIN ONLY.
Note: This can change each hand.

TWISTED ACES KNOCK H/L If the upcard is BLACK, you play ACES HIGH.
If the upcard is RED, you play ACES LOW.
Note: Rules may change with each new deal.
No sets of aces allowed!

TWO SUITS Any Any You can only use 2 SUITS in your hand when you knock or gin.

UP UP AND AWAY Any Any If your score is ever 30, 60, or 90 at anytime during the game, then you automatically win.

WACKY KEYS Any Low You cannot have any even cards (2,4,6,8,10,Q) in your hand when you knock or gin. You can only play with the ODD CARDS ... A, 3,5,7,9,J,K

WILD CARD KNOCK Any The table setter will choose the wild card and announce it in the lobby before setting the table. If you draw or are dealt the wild card, you can discard it. If you get caught with it, you lose.

WILD KINGDOM KNOCK Low You must have a run of face cards or a set of face cards. If you have both a run of face cards and a set of face cards, you automatically win.

WONDERLAND OKIE Low If you draw or are dealt any "Alices" (Aces), you must keep them. You cannot discard Aces. If you gin with the queen of hearts as your discard, you automatically win.

ZERO FREEZE KNOCK Any If your score ends in 0 at anytime, you cannot pick up from the discard pile. Remember at the beginning of the match that no one can pick up from the discard pile since the score is 0-0.
