WELCOME TO OUR LEAGUE



MyLeague.com and MTP is pleased to introduce the Player Guide site as an extra resource for all players. This site provides several written tutorials about various actions that you will take on our League. It also includes several video tutorials, showing you exactly how to perform certain tasks. So far, we have video tutorials explaining how to sign up for a League, how to register for tournaments, and how to use the Standings page on your League.

We will be adding further tutorials to this site as they are created. We hope that these new tutorials are helpful to you!

RULES

Please take the time to Read these Rules as there are some very important Rule Changes being made. Thank You ~Michele~


Please hold chat while I explain the rules and call tables so that nobody is confused or lost so sorry!

Please ensure that you take the time to read and understand the tournament rules prior to checking in to the tournament! If you have any questions, please make sure you ask them before the tournament starts not after tables are set and matches underway.

Please follow the rules as nobody (including me) likes disqualifications! Effective immediately, Rules and Game Twists not followed will result in immediate disqualification as there will be no restarts for mistakes. If you do not understand a rule ask for clarification before the tournament starts. (The only exception to this rule is if there are new members participating in tours. New members do not know the rules or twists like members who have been participating in tours for 6 months or more). Veteran players who make mistakes on rules will be held accountable or disqualified from the tournament.

If your opponent or partner is booted, please notify officiating td in the pogo lobby as soon as it happens. You should exercise the use of the pause button and not allow the bot to play the game if possible. We do not allow subs for 1 v 1 (TDs, HTDs, and Admin reserve the right to give up their spots to members to play if they choose. Stats and records will be adjusted to reflect this by Admins only). Subs are allowed for 2 vs. 2 (but cannot be used for both players). If in the event there are no subs available the team will be put on a timer.

In the event that either player does not report a match and the officiating TD asks repeatedly without any response from either player, the win will be given automatically to the highest league rated player of the match.

In the event that a player is booted in a 1 v 1 v 1 or 1 v 1 v 1 v 1 match, the officiating TD or their designee will sit in the booted players seat and play until that member returns or boot timer expires. If the booted player does not return, their properties will be mortgaged and the remaining players on the table will have the opportunity to purchase those mortgaged properties at mortgaged values!

2 v 2 Team Play is just that a team (You play as a Team). Under no circumstances should a partner in a team tour abandon their partner at any time. If the team is losing, both members should remain at the table until the game is finished because it has been known to happen that the game can turn around quickly and go in the favor of the losing team. Players abandoning their partners will be given the same infractions below as sportsmanship conduct.

Under no circumstances are you to trade with the bots. Regrettably, trading with the bots will result in automatic disqualification!!!

Boot timer will be set at maximum for 5 minutes and only one boot is allowed per tournament unless a swiss tour or a double elimination tour (2 boot timers will be allowed). Boot timers will apply to team play in the event both players from the same team are MIA (as you are not allowed 2 subs on a team). We realize that pogo has issues, and all TD’s will call players to the tables, if no answer a second call will be made 1 minute later, in the event a third call to a table needs to be made is when the TD will call Last Call for (player name) before timer. The next call will be for a 5 minute timer. (In reality you are given an additional 3 minutes to get to the table.)

When called to your tables please ensure that both players are able to talk in the game chat box before starting the game. Starting the game prior to all members being able to speak in chat may cause a conflict at the table or starting a game without the other player actually being at the table.

If a player is booted and they are not at table to complete the game the win will automatically be awarded to the seated player.

Please ensure that you check in to the tournament at least 10 minutes prior to tournament start.

Any player not in lobby at the close and start of any tournament will not be removed from tournament. Timer will apply and a loss will result. No ladder bux will be refunded if you fail to show up for a tournament.

All tours will start on time or no later than 10 minutes late (The Only exception to this rule will be if there are not enough players to start the tour). Td’s will not wait for members who are late entering the lobby.

Sportsmanship – members need to be respectful of each other. Poor sportsmanship will no longer be tolerated. Out of respect for other members a good luck and good game should be spoken before and after a tournament match. Use of emoticons which members deem unsportsman-like such as spinning head, shifty eyes, laughing, or being sleepy will not be tolerated either (or any of the new emoticons that may be rude or unsportsman-like), as they do not represent good sportsmanship and are rude.

Infractions – First Offense will be a Verbal Warning – Second Offense will be a Written Warning, Third Offense will be a 2-Day suspension from actively playing in Tournaments – Fourth and Final Offense can or will be removal from the league.

When signing up for league play, please make sure your league name and pogo names are the same. This ensures that no members are dropped from tournaments.

In the case of a conflict in any tournament, you will contact the Officiating TD to handle the situation. All conflicts will be handled at a table or in private chat and not in the lobby of any rooms. Bringing conflicts into the lobby give the appearance of drama to potential new league members and this should be avoided at all costs. The decision of the Officiating TD is final unless you have adequate reason to believe the TD is not correct in something, then it should be brought to the attention of a Head TD. The final decision of an Officiating TD or Head TD is final.

Finally, all games are tours are set for our members, TDs, HTDs, and Admin when not hosting are members also. Tournaments are supposed to be fun, and have the ability to chat and goof off among friends. Some people have different ways of having fun and everyone’s personality is different and there will be times when conflicts arise. We all need to be respectful of one another, and if you feel you cannot get along with someone, you have the right to mute them and keep on going. They can see what you type but you just cannot see what they type at any given time.
