I always start off my newsletters with this statement ~ Thank you for your support of all the TDs and Petbe. You are why we are here!!
This statement is the most important item I can say in this newsletter. I so much appreciate the support you give the league and I believe you should know it. To the staff – I do not say it often enough – I appreciate everything you do to the smooth running of the leagues tours and am glad you on the staff. To my Admins – Nino and Roadie – you know how I feel ;) Thank you sooooo much!

~~~From Cases – Password Safety~~~
When it comes to keeping your account safe and keeping hackers out of your account, nothing is more important than keeping your password secure.

By far, the most common cause of an account being “hacked,” is that user sharing their password with the hacker. The simplest solution to this problem? Never, ever, ever share your password with anyone else for any reason. Do not give your password to your Head Admin. Do not give your password to a TD on your League.

Do not give your password to your best friend in the League. Don’t give your password to anyone. There is never any reason why you would need to give your password to anyone else. Also, MyLeague.com will never contact you and ask you for your password.

When you share your password with someone, you’re essentially giving them permission to do whatever they want with your account. With your password, someone would be able to steal your account, and all of your LadderBux, and there would be no guarantee that we’d be able to recover it for you. Also, if your League Password is the same as your password for other things, then you’re essentially giving this person access to all sorts of personal information about you. If you use the same password for your e-mail, or your online banking, or anything else, then this person would have access to your information. In short, password sharing is dangerous, and you should never do it for any reason.

Almost as bad as sharing your password is choosing one that is easy to guess. If someone’s trying to guess your password, their first three guesses will almost always be: password, abc123, and 1234. After that, they’ll probably guess the name of the game your League plays, probably with some common number choices at the end. If your password is one of those things, it might be easy for you to remember – but it’s also easy for a hacker to guess. It’s always best to make it something that people can’t guess easily. It’s also best to avoid using a password that could be found in a dictionary or baby name book, as random letters and numbers are harder to crack than actual words.

If your password is one of those listed examples, or if it’s something easy to guess, it would be a good idea to change your password today. Just go to the “Edit Password” link on your “My Account” page, and pick a new one.

MyLeague.com has added customization features for Premium Members!

Gold, Platinum, and Diamond members are now able to customize their Profile Page using the new "Custom Profile Styles" feature. The new feature allows premium members to customize the background color and text color on their Profile Page. We have also included the option to add a background image using the new "Custom Profile Styles" feature.

In addition to the Custom Profile Styles feature, Platinum and Diamond members also have the option to edit their very own HTML module at the bottom of their Profile Page! The "Custom Profile HTML" feature can be used to add a photo album, music player, images, text--the possibilities are tremendous!

The new features--Custom Profile Styles and Custom Profile HTML--are located in the list of "My Options" on the My Account tab. If you have any questions or comments about the new features, please contact us using the Premium Support link located on the Support tab. We hope you enjoy customizing your profiles!

~~~MEMBERSHIPS~~~
Memberships in our League are Optional!!!
No one has to purchase anything to be in our League. Everyone is most welcomed to play in our League free of charge. If you are interested in it, you do get some extra bux, ribbons, medals and it helps the league pay for the plus membership (currently I am paying it out of pocket). Also Yahoo does not require any payment to play games so if you see an im saying that they do - don’t believe it - it’s a hoax. If anything like that was to happen, I would inform everyone right away.
