Welcome to Lucky's Haven TD Training Center
Everything you need to know about hosting but were afraid to ask!
Lucky’s Haven – Setting Tours
- To set a tour you must first log into the "TD Login". This log in is found at the bottom of the league page or on our toolbar (which can be downloaded from the league page). Log in with your account id and your password. This will bring you to the Tournament Setup Center. *Remember your first 10 tours must be single elimination (s/e) tours.

- Once you've clicked on submit, you will get a calendar with a red day. That red day is today. Choose the day that you wish to set your tour for.

- Once you've selected the day, you will need to choose a time. The chart for the day has all times from midnight to 1145 pm. Scroll down to the time you would like to choose and click on the time for the slot you would like to host your tour in.

- After choosing a time, you will be at the Tournament Setup Center. Here you will type in the name of our tour, try to think of something catchy. Enter the game room in the location box and remember to include all tabs covered on what you are hosting. (this shows leagues and cases this game and room have been hosted and also helps members know what room you are in)
*name of the game/game tab/name of the room* Please see the TD Help page http://users.igl.net/luckyhaven/tdhelppage.html as the games are listed there and the tab/room is there so you can copy and paste it into your tour. Always set the tour for maximum number of rounds (s/e is 8) and 15 mins between rounds. Then go to bottom and choose "Ladder bux entry fee" and use drop down box and choose 35 - 50 bux.

- You MUST put the rules of the game in your tourney page. For instance, if you are hosting a canasta tourney, you need to have the canasta rules on that tour registration page. This ensures that the members know what they are playing and can view the rules. To put the rules on your tour: click on customize tournament rules and copy & paste the rules in the big white box, then click save. The rules can be found on the Host Rules Page http://users.igl.net/luckyhaven/hostrulespage.html.

- You MUST have yahoo on during every tourney. To add your yahoo to your tour: go into edit tournament info, there you will see IM service, scroll to pick yahoo messenger. IM address is where you put your screen name. Once you have done this scroll down to where it says change tourney info. Your messenger is now added to your tourney. **You must do this for every tour**

- To send a link to your tourney to someone: go to your TD menu, click on “tournament main page” and copy & paste the address from your IE into the IM window. This will make your tourney page easy to get to for members to register for your tourneys.
- The seedings for each and every tourney you set needs to be set to *random*. To change these settings: scroll to where you see seed players by: click on the arrow, pick random and click on change seedings.

- You must ensure that check-in is opened 24 hours prior to the start of your tourney to allow every player that registers to also check-in. If you forget open check-in, each players will have to check-in. This requires the player to go to your registration page a second time to check-in. If a player does not check-in and you close the tour they will be automatically removed. It is very important to make sure that you open check-in so no one gets deleted. Admin usually does this for you but it never hurts to double check.
- If you want to include a TD donation in your tourney, please remember this comes out of your own bux. To do this: click on edit tournament info and enter the amount of bux in the white box beside TD bux given. You will notice that it shows you how many donations you have available for that month.
- To run most tourneys you require a minimum of 4 players. If you have only 4 jumpers for a tour and one is MIA try to contact them through your IM service. If you are unable to reach them, you will need to find another player to replace them. There must be a minimum of 4 players actually playing in all tourneys. If you are hosting a 4 player game like cribbage, you will need a minimum of 8 jumpers (unless you have them use bots for partners – then you still need 4). Please try to get your minimum number of players until 15 mins past start time. If you are unable to get the required number of jumpers to run the tour, then you must move the tour to a later date or delete it.
- We encourage you to decorate your tourney pages, but it is not required. We have provided some links to sites that have pre-made tourney pages (see League Links section of league page). You can use these or others to decorate your tourney pages. Please contact your trainer once you have decided to decorate your page and they can walk you through the steps to decorate your page. We ask all tourneys pages to be appropriate, remember it is important so you are not offending anyone.
- In some cases, you may have to remove a player from your tour. Please remove players that get frozen or request that you remove them because they cannot participate in your tour. Always ask the player if they would like you to remove them before you actually remove them. On your tourney page scroll down to remove a player: click on the arrow, scroll down to the name of the player you are removing, and click on remove player. You will then get a message asking if you are sure you want to remove this player, click yes. The message will then say the player has now been removed from your tour.
- If something comes up and you cannot host your tourney, you need to either find an HTD or Admin to host it for you. If you cannot find someone to host it for you, then either move it to a different day and time or delete it. If you have to move the tour: go to your TD menu, click edit tournament info, change the date and time to the time you can run the tourney. Don’t forget to remove all players who may have register for the tour before you move it. This saves the players their bux. Also, if you move the tour to a time/day that the players may not be available to play. Another consideration when moving your tour is to keep in mind the time that you choose may have a tour set already for that time. Please check the tourney calendar to ensure that the time slot is empty before moving your tour.
