SWITCH HEARTS: Game Rules The game begins with dirty hearts. If the upcard is a heart, the dealer must order. If the upcard is not a heart, the player to the left of the dealer must call hearts. When a Jack appears, the dealer must pick it up, and the game’s trump switches to that suit until the next Jack appears, prompting another switch. It is now a Boo to announce when a Jack is revealed or to indicate what suit changes until after the suits have been called.
