RULES FOR EACH TOURNAMENT:
1. First name in pairings makes table UNLESS it is finals and the TD has announced they are making the table. Find out if
your table is to be Rated/Std or not. Always make table Protected to allow only those invited to table to sit. If a non-
league member sits, please do not boot. Ask the person to stand or remake table. Always turn your kibitz off unless TD has
announced otherwise. Make sure TD is at the table before you start play.
2. No Cheating, No Kibitzing, No Messengers of any kind at
the game table, unless the Tournament game specifies it is allowed.
3. No Table Talk which is defined as anything that may
influence how the other players play out the hand. Examples of table talk include but are not limited to the following:
typing FH, Yahtzee, Bingo, 4 of a kind, during a tourney that is not one of these tourneys; typing always one away during a
FH Tourney; woohoo p, gcp, nep after call is made and before cards are played and point is made.
4. 10 minutes allowed for freezes/boots for a full game and 5
minutes allowed for a quickie. Each time a timer is put on constitutes 1 minute used unless more time is used. BRB or no
response to TD constitutes a timer.
5. No Loners on 9. If someone goes alone on 9, the skip rule
for the game will apply. No Boo applies.
6. No abusive language! Be nice or don't play!
7. Host of the table will contact TD if a problem arises.
8. Ask a TD, HTD, or Admin if you have any questions
concerning tourneys.
9. Fast play is expected at all times in consideration of all
members.
10. No playing at a non-tourney table while playing in a
tournament.
11. You are not allowed at a non league table with another
member ALONE while you are at a tourney table. Unless Staff has invited you.
12. Do not click skip hand, clear score, or cancel game
unless the hosting TD has asked you to or you think you may be frozen. Always click *WAIT*.
GOOD LUCK! HAVE FUN! :)
***PLEASE KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE RULES BEFORE JOINING ANY TOURNEY***
TIME OUT RULES: If you have been booted, have no ping, or are not in
the lobby for whatever reason, you have a time out limit of 10 minutes for a Full Tourney and 5 minutes for a Quickie
Tourney. If, however, you are in the lobby with ping, then you only have a 5 minute time out limit.
MISTAKES: In all tournaments, if you make a mistake, you get a second
chance, regardless of whether or not you are in finals. If you make 2 mistakes in the same tournament, you will be
automatically disqualified. Play carefully.
2 TOURNEY RULE: You may join the next tourney if you are in the
finals of the current one provided you can honor the fast play.
SUB RULE: You may also sub at another table, while playing in a
tournament, provided you can honor the fast play. If you are not honoring the fast play, the Hosting TD may ask you to stand
up and ask for another sub.
TOURNEY TIMES: Tournaments are to be started on time, with a maximum
of 10 minutes after the start time to close. This way, if someone wants in the tournament at the last minute, they will be
able to. TDs should tell the lounge that they are closing, so that if someone wants in, they can ask the TD to wait.
RESPECT: If someone (league member or not) is being offensive in the
lobby, please do not respond to this person. If the person is being excessive, you have every right to put them on your
ignore list. Even if you are not being offensive back to them, they will not stop, until people stop responding.
TD HAS FINAL SAY: In all matters relating to a tournament, the
Hosting TD has final say.
BETS AND DEALS: We will not tolerate any kind of betting or dealing
with league games. Each and every game on the ladder affects the rest of the league. This rule is also punishable by boxing
and any reported losses as a bet or deal will be reversed.
INVITE-ONLY TOURNEYS: Invite- Only tournaments will now be reserved
ONLY for the Tournament of Champions tournaments, unless given approval by the administration staff.
If you are not
responding at the table and have ping, the TD will give One Warning for Slow play and the TD will start the timer. Each time
a timer is started, it counts as minimum ONE minute used and will be deducted from time in tourney. A BRB counts as a timer
start. Once your time expires, you will be automatically disqualified from the tournament. The time is accumulative for the
whole tournament. If you are at the table when someone gets booted, please click WAIT.
If a player times out twice in one day, they shall be disqualified after only 5 minutes without ping the second time. Please
remember, this rule only applies for the SECOND time out in the SAME DAY.
If you are registered in two tournaments at the same time when the first is not in finals, you will be disqualified from the
second one. If you have any questions, please consult the Tournament Directors.
If there are not 4 members that have joined the tournament when it is time to begin, the TD can wait until a fourth member
joins. Once that fourth member is in, the TD is to close and start the tournament immediately.
Respect is a common
goal for all of us :) We try not to box members for many things, but there is one reason that we have decided to box for.
That is DISRESPECT (especially if the " F " or " C " word is used) in the lobby. Please be courteous of your fellow
players.
In player altercations, we urge and plead you to try and settle it amongst yourselves in a mature fashion. Please do not
insult and show disrespect while trying to settle things. If the problem is unable to be resolved, and is more complicated
than just ignoring each other, then report the details to the administration team. We, by Case's "law", must enforce this
kind of disrespect. So please watch what you say in private messages, as well as public chats. We hope that we do not get any
emails about this, since we should be mature enough to settle these kind of matters amongst ourselves.
