~ How to make a tourney ~
The first thing you will need to do is Create a Tournament.
Click Create Tournament
Select Format:
Bracket Style (single-elim)
This is the one you will use until you are confident at running basic tournaments.
Then hit submit
Select a date.
For training click on today's date.
For ease today's date is always in a red box.
Select a time.
For training purposes click a time that has already passed.
When making an actual tourney you would click the time you want the tourney to take place.
Tournament Setup Center
Name of Tournament:
(Put the Name of the game you will be playing)
Location:
(Put Lounge we play in then a slash / then the game you are playing)
ie Social 12/Regular
Tourney Style:
Classic or Classic Pro
(You can play around with this later just choose one for now)
Number of Rounds:
I would suggest choosing 6 it is a relatively safe number.
Minutes between Round Start Times:
Put 15 minutes
Number of Players per Team:
Always 1 unless you are running a teams tourney which then it would be 2.
Teams Competing per match:
Should always be 2
Random Team Partner?
Do not check anything.
Membership Requirements:
Leave at none
Multiple Day Tournament:
Do not check anything.
Invitation Only Tournament:
Do not check anything.
Ladder Stats Tournament:
Leave checked.
TOC Tournament?
Do not check anything.
Select TOC tournament winners start and end dates:
Leave the dates posted there.
Use your default rules page if one exist. Leave that checked.
Display dedicated java IRC chatroom on main tournament page. Leave that checked.
Custom message for TOC E-Mail invitation: Leave that blank.
Ladder Bux Settings:
Until you have done 5 leave the check in ... No entry fee; No prize or LadderBux rewards
Once you have done five put the check in ... No entry fee; LadderBux to top finishers
Once you have done ten put the check in ... LadderBux entry fee; LadderBux to top finishers
Entry Fee: We generally charge 50 - 75 for tournaments.
Then click Create Tournament
Screen will come up saying Tournament Created Successfully! Congrats you have created your tourney.
Click Return to Administer Tourney #________ ( this will be the tourney number or jump number for your specific tourney).
