How To Run A Single Elim Tournament

 First thing you do when going to run a tournament is log in to the TD site.

When you do you will be taken to this screen. Once you are there you click on administer tournaments.

Click the thumbnails for full view.

Next you will get this screen. Here is where you select the tourney.

For a new TD only your tourneys will be shown. Just click the tourney you want to start.

Next up is the Tourney Administration screen. This is where you will go to close your checkin.

First Step in that is to ask in game room lobby chat if everyone is in the tourney that wants in. If they are then you will click on close registration.

You will then get the following screen. On this one you will click return to administer tourney.

Next you will choose the start tournament option or if someone asks that you let them in you have the option to reopen registration to let them in. You cannot reopen checkin once you click start tournament.

After you close checkin you will get the following screen where you will once again click return to administer tourney.

Next you begin announcing your pairings. You can either find these by scrolling a bit to the bottom of the tourney administration page (shown below)

or by clicking round 1 or round 2 on the tourney administration screen. Players that have a round 1 bye may have a match for round 2. Keep a close watch on those so they aren't kept waiting.

When you click the round 1 or 2 option this is an example of what the screen looks like. To report a winner all you do is click on their name. Then click the ever familiar return to administer tourney option on the screen that comes up.

This is also on the tourney administration screen. It allows you to see who is registered for your tourney.

As the tourney advances you will have more rounds to click on. (For example a round 3, 4, or 5.) The # of rounds depends on the # of players you have. After you are done with all rounds you will find more options up where you closed checkin from. (Top right of tourney admin screen) Begin by clicking Update TD stats. You will then get another screen where you will have to click yes the standings are correct. Please make sure they are before you proceed. After each option you will have to click return to administer tourney. Go through all of the options (will be several of them) until you get to the Reward Ladderbux screen. This will tell you how many bux your players have won so you can post it in lobby if you wish. The last option will be close out tournament. When you click that you are all done.
