Most rules are based on standard 1v1 rules, with any variations listed below.
If you have any questions, please ask the TD BEFORE you shoot.
It is your responsibility to read the rules before joining any tournament.

TOURNAMENT GAME RULES


RAINBOW WARRIORS

Played on protected "rated" tables.
All balls must be sunk in the order listed.
If you pocket a ball out of the order they are listed in, it is a "tap"
(tap meaning: lightly tapping the cue ball to give the other player their turn)
There is NO ball in hand after tap. 2 tap outs and you lose.
Ball in hand does count for other normal errors made & scratching.
BALL LINE UP: PINK ~ RED ~ ORANGE ~ YELLOW ~ GREEN ~ BLUE ~ PURPLE ~ & ~ BLACK

4 CORNERS BNR

Played On A Training Table.
No Ball In Hand Except on Break.
Scratch or side shot On Break Is A ReRack.
Player Shoots Until They Miss Or Scratch.
Only allowed to use 4 corner pockets, get one in side pocket your turn is over.
Shoot Any Ball, Any Order…Players Shoot 3 Rounds.
Players Count The Number Of Balls Sunk After Each Round.

SWITCH HITTER

Regular game until finals, finals is played like a 2vs2.
Finalists pick another player from tourney to partner them in finals.
First finalist in match called selects their partner first.
Only qualified finalist wins bux.
If you lose, stick around as you may be picked to partner in finals.

TOPS AND BOTTOMS

Played on rated and protected tables.
Stripes hit in the top pockets and solids hit in the bottom.
8 Ball must go in the side your shooting on.
No more than 2 accidental shots are allowed or you’re out.
If you make a mistake – tap out ball to opponent – no ball in hand.

IN THE RED

Played on rated protected tables.
All shots must have power bar in the RED zone, must wait for opponent to say “GO” before you shoot.
Opponent says “GO” once they see the power bar in the red zone.

SCRAMBLED EGGS

Game is played on training table, first name invites second and sits first.
Balls are set up on table (order will be shown) ball # or color does not matter.
Player may shoot from anywhere on table with white ball hitting only object ball.
If White hits other ball after object ball, that players turn is over and potted balls are counted.
Each player gets 3 racks alternating.
If player pots ball and hits other ball with white, potted ball counts in score.
If player scratches, there turn is over and all potted balls are counted.
Each player will return balls to correct position before standing.
Total potted balls for each player after 3 racks and highest score wins match.

RED BALL

Played On Rated Protected Tables.
Played Like A Regular 8 Ball Game Except For The Red Ball (Striped & Solid).
You CANNOT Hit The Red Ball In Until It’s Your Last Ball Before 8.
If You Sink Your Red Ball Before It’s Your Last Ball, You Lose.
If You Sink Your Opponents Red Ball, You Lose.
If You Sink The Red Ball Early, Cancel The Game. No Force Forfeits.
If A Red Ball Is Potted On Break, It’s A Rerack.

FOUR CORNERS

Played on non-rated protected tables.
Played as a reg 8 game but all your balls are to be pocketed in the 4 corners only, including the 8.
If you make a ball in corner and another in middle (at the same time), you can carry on.
If you accidentally make a ball in middle - tap out and ball goes to opponent.
No Ball in Hand.
2 tap outs and you lose.
If the 8 ball gets stuck in the side pocket, it's a rerack.

BANK THE 8

Played on rated, protected tables.
Played as a regular game except for the 8 ball.
The 8 ball must bounce off a rail before being sunk.
You can also bank the cue ball into the 8 ball.

MYSTERY 8

Played on rated protected tables.
TD will call the pocket where the 8 should go from lobby.
TD wont be present at tables so each person shooting for 8 should request pocket in lobby.
The pocket called will remain for each person till they get the 8 in.

KILLER

Played on a training table.
You shoot, then you stand, whether you make one in or not.
If you miss you lose a life, you get 2 lives.
If you lose both lives then your out.
If you scratch you lose a life.
No ball in hand except on the break or a scratch.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
Get nothing in on break and you get to shoot once more.

LAST POCKET

Played on rated protected tables, just the same as regular 8.
All regular 8 rules apply but the pocket you put your last ball in is where you put the 8 ball in.
Same goes for your opponent.
If 8 gets stuck In a pocket it’s a rerack.
No BIH unless on a scratch! Announce LP at table!

BREAK AND RUN

Played On A Training Table.
No Ball In Hand Except on Break.
Scratch On Break Is A ReRack.
Player Shoots Until They Miss Or Scratch Leaving The Rack broken.

Shoot Any Ball, Any Order.
Players Shoot 3 Rounds One with Most wins.

NAME YOUR GAME

1st player announced gets to pick the game played.
Any Game We Have Played In Our Room Before, except Timed Games.
The Finals Will Be Called By The TD.
If Any Rules Are Required For Any Specific Game the TD Will Spam Them In The Lobby.
The Player Who Sets Must Name The Game Being Played In The Lobby.

BLACK JACK

Played on Training Tables.
Object of the Game is to be the 1st to get 21!!
Shoot and stand, if you get nothing in on break shoot again.
All shots count even with scratch.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
If you scratch without making any balls your turn is over.
You can bank for 1 Point (pls say your banking for 1 at table).
If you make more than 1 ball in all ball values count.
If you bust (go over 21) you lose.
Ball Values: All stripes = 3pts, Yellow=1, Blue=2, Red=3, Purple=4, Orange=5, Green=6, Pink=7, Black=8.

BOOT 'EM

Played on private training tables.
Td sets Table and invites all players who joined.
Td ONLY breaks the Rack up , then You shoot in order on the table of the names.
If you miss you’re booted, if you scratch your booted, if you go out of turn your booted.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
Please pay attention to when your turn is.
Timer in Boot 'em is THREE minutes!

CHAOS

There are 3 tournaments, each seeded differently, created to start at the same time.
Players must join all 3 tournaments.
All 3 tournaments start and run at the same time and players must keep up playing in all of them.
Playing 3 games at once is permitted in this tournament.
The object is to win all 3 tournaments without going INSANE.

SURVIVOR SWISS

This is a Regular 8 - Swiss style tournament.
The TD sets # of rounds.
At the end of each round the players get to IM the TD hosting to pick who they want voted out of the tourney.
Player with most votes against him is taken out and the tourney proceeds to the next round.
If a player asked to be taken out at the end of a round, the vote gets bypassed for that round.

RODEO

Regular 8 game until u get to the 8.
Once on the 8 the first shot must be attempted in the upper left corner pocket.
The second try will be attempted in the upper middle pocket.
Attempts on the 8 ball will continue in a clockwise direction around the table until it is pocketed.
Each failed attempt on the 8 advances the designated pocket for both players.
Example: Player 1 misses upper left pocket so player 2 shoots for upper middle pocket.

PERFECT MATCH

Played on protected rated tables.
No fouls are allowed , except on break.
A foul is defined as giving ball in hand to Your opponent.
First person to receive ball in hand is the winner.
If this occurs then the game is cancelled and reported in lobby as usual.
If no fouls are committed then the winner will be the players who wins the game by normal rules.

SPOTS & STRIPES

Played on a training table.
1st player sits and shoots, if you make a ball in on break it counts.
Follow order of playing spots (solid ball) and stripes.
Example: If you sink a solid ball 1st, the next ball you have to sink is a striped. And the other way around.
If you sink anything on break you just continue with the order.
If you sink more than one ball in one shot, you still follow the order of last ball sunk.
You may hit any other balls on table as long as you DONT sink any out of order.
If you miss or scratch your turn is over. Each player gets 3 turns.
Person with the most in after all three rounds wins.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT

Played on Rated Protected Tables.
Break Counts!! The 1st pocket you sink a ball in is your pocket PLUS the opposite pocket.
E.g. If you sink bottom right then you get bottom right AND top left.
If you sink two balls in, you get BOTH pockets and BOTH the opposite pockets.
All balls must go in the assigned pockets ONLY.
This includes the 8 ball at the end.
If you get a ball in a wrong pocket - You tap out with no ball in hand allowed.

ABC

Played on rated, protected tables.
Hit balls in Alphabetical order according to color BLUE, GREEN, ORANGE, PINK, PURPLE, RED, YELLOW, and then the 8 BALL last.
If you pot the correct ball, and another falls also, it is still your turn.
If you don’t pot the correct ball, and pot another, "tap out" .
No BIH after tap.
If you pot the wrong ball, "tap out".

CRAZY 8

Played on rated, protected tables.
Played the same as regular 8 ball.
When a player gets to the 8 ball, they must wait until opponent chooses which pocket they must make the 8 ball in.
This pocket will be your pocket for the remainder of the game.

CENTER TABLE SMASH

Play on PROTECTED RATED TABLES.
All players balls are to be played in top or bottom CENTER.
Or bottom Left & Top Right Corners.
If you pot ANY balls IN TOP LEFT & BOTTOM RIGHT you "tap out" .
No BIH to opponent,8-ball must be played in a called CORNER pocket.
Either Top LEFT Or BOTTOM RIGHT!!

MUSICAL CHAIRS

Played on protected unrated tables.
First to sit announce in lobby what table they are on before start of game .
The game is played as a normal Regular 8, although when the TD enters you must both switch seats.

CALL YOUR SHOTS

Played on rated Protected tables.
Similar to a one-on-one with one exception.
You must call all your shots!
EXAMPLE--> purple in lower left. Or Green stripe in upper center and so on.
If you fail to make the ball, it is now the other players turn.
But if you miss the ball you call and make another, it is a tap out.
Also, if you fail to call your shot it is a tap out.
(Tap = hitting the cue ball so that it just moves....no more than a few millimeters).
When a tap takes place, the other player DOES NOT get the ball in hand.
If a player fails to call his shot twice, he loses the game and cancel.

IN THE RED BNR

Played On A Training Table .
No Ball In Hand Except on Break.
Scratch On Break Is A ReRack.

SUICIDE

Played on PROTECTED UNRATED TABLES.
You play it just like a normal game, but you don't have to call the 8 ball.
The difference is that the first person to sink the black ball wins.
You can do combo shots on black but you have to hit your own ball first.
If you hit their ball first and it sinks the black, you lose.
You lose if you sink white ball at the same time as the black.
NO potting 8 ball on break .... you MUST put in 1 other ball first before shooting in 8 ball.

BATTLESHIP

Played on a training table.
You may ONLY move the white ball after a scratch.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
Sinking the 8 BALL at anytime will result in a loss.
Top bracket gets SOLID balls and shoots first.
Bottom bracket gets STRIPED balls and shoots second.
Players take turns shooting and stand when their turn is over.
Object is to sink all of your opponents balls before yours get sunk.
One shot after the break unless you make one of your opponents’ balls off the break.
Each player keeps shooting as long as making opponents ball.
If you make your opponents ball at same time you make your own ball, you keep shooting.
You may hit your ball first as a combination to make your opponents ball.
If you scratch, while shooting your opponent's last ball in, you LOSE.

SPEEDBALL

Played on a protected training table.
Everyone will get invited to a training table by the TD.
Object: To pot as many balls within 60 seconds as you can.
Player that pots the most balls within 60 seconds will advance.
TD will announce who will play.
Sit, when you are ready, pull back the cue stick and hold, waiting for the TD to say GO.
Shoot as many balls as u can until the TD says STOP.
If you scratch on the break, it is a re-rack.
If at anytime after the break you scratch, your turn is over and your balls made thus far are counted.

10 SHOT TOURNEY

Played on training tables.
Break is counted as a shot.
Opponent will count the players shots.
There is no ball in hand unless scratch.
-1 For each Scratch even if U pot another Ball with it.
Players will take all 10 shots. After 10 shots total on the table. Agree on amount.
One point will be taken away for each time you scratch.
Each player will get 2 racks. Player with the most points out of 2 racks wins.

WHO DO YOU TRUST?

Played on unrated Protected tables.
Game played like Regular 8 Game except when you get to the 8 ball.
On the 8 ball, you must call for a player that was or is in this tourney to shoot the 8 ball for you.
That player will continue to play the 8 ball shot until the 8 ball is made.
The result of his/her making, or not making the 8 ball stands.
Who do you trust??
The TD may also be called to shoot the 8 for you.

CRAZY TD

Played on unrated Protected tables.
Normal regular 8 ball game, except ~ Each round a new rule is added on top of the previous rule.
Round 1 Starts with REG 8.
Round 2 onwards is the TD's choice.
So it starts with reg 8, round 2 might be last pocket round 3 last pocket bank the 8 or cue, and so on.
The TD will tell you at the start of that round what rule they have added.

GREEN BALL

Played on rated Protected tables.
Played Like A Regular 8 Ball Game Except For The Green Ball(Striped & Solid).

Round 1 : set at 20 seconds.
Round 2 : set at 15 seconds.

TOAST THE HOST

Played on rated Protected tables.
Normal Reg 8 game.
The winner of the tourney gets to pick a new screen name for the host of the tourney.
Which they will use until the next Toast the host tourney.

NERVE WRECKER

Played on 2 training tables.
You invite your opponent to your tbl, but opponent don’t sit at your table.
Aim of the game: See who pots all balls first!!
TD announces rounds in lobby, soon as both players are set tell TD in lobby and TD will say "GO" .
If you miss or scratch u keep going.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
Once finished you say done at your opponents table and then to TD in lobby, 1st done wins.

Player must get the black ball in the pocket that their blue ball went into.

When you sit to shoot, shoot all your balls in before standing.

Whoever has the least amount of points after 1 rack is the winner.

POOL SHARKS

Played on RATED Protected Tables.
Snookering, Safetying & Hooking ARE Allowed.
On Scratch , Shot has to be made from Behind the Line.
NO Ball in hand Other Then Scratch.
Make an Opponents Ball, You Tap Without Hitting ANY balls (still no bih).
Shoot Where it lays.
On The 8 ball, You call Pocket. That is Your pocket for the remainder of the Game.

CHASE THE 8

Game Is Played on NON-rated Regular 8 Tables.
Object of the Game is to Be the First Person to Bank the 8 .
Can either Bank Off Rail or Bank the Cue off Rail into the 8.
If you Hit Or Knock Your Opponents Ball in You TAP out and It is Your Opponents Turn.
NO Ball In Hand At ALL.
Can Shoot Your Balls Until You Have Opportunity to Bank The 8.

STRIPE INTO SOLID COMBO

Played on protected training tables.
Object of the game is to pot all the Solids using combination method of stripe into solid.
If you miss a combo your round is over.
If you make a solid without it been hit by a Stripe ball counts as -1.
Each opponent gets 3 rds NO bih , except on break.
Stripes DO NOT count nor can be potted.
If a stripe is potted it is -1 and your turn is over.
Total of a possible 8 balls each Rd.
One with most at the end of the 3rd Round Wins.
Set up will be shown at the beginning of the tourney by the TD.

Played on rated, protected tables.
Played as a regular game Except for the 8 ball.
You ASK the TD for a pocket on the 8 when you get to it.
That is your Pocket for the remainder of the game.

You can also bank the cue ball into the 8 ball.
NO bih Except on Scratch.

BERMUDA TRIANGLE

Played on protected rated tables.
3 pockets to be used to pocket balls are Top Middle, Bottom Left and Bottom Right (these 3 form the triangle).
All other pockets are off limits.
If you shoot a ball into an off limit pocket tap ball to opponent NO BIH.
BIH only applies to scratches and misses.
If another ball sinks into an off limit pocket as well as your ball being pocketed within the triangle, play continues.

Played same as REG 8 except your 8 ball pocket is the one situated 'under your ass' .
If you are sitting on the left side of the table...top left is your 8 ball pocket.

Same as REG 8 but you cannot move the arrow for your 8 ball shot.

This game is played like a reg 8 tourney.
Prior to the start of the game you must say which pocket your opponent have to pot the 8 ball in at end of the game.

Played On NON RATED - Protected Tables .
Only The Bottom 3 Pockets can be used.
Which Includes The 8 Ball .

BANK ROBBERY

Played on protected, rated tables.
NO bank shots are allowed at any time during game.
This includes cue banks.
If you accidentally bank a ball into a pocket, give BIH.
However if you make a regular shot and another ball falls in after banking off of a rail, keep shooting.

WEAKEST LINK BOOT 'EM

Played like a regular Bootem.
Except, if you miss/scratch you are not booted.
Instead, you get into the "hot seat" and do not shoot again until after a round of voting took place.
A round of voting happens when two ppl are placed in the "hot seat" .
Each player not in the "hot seat" will private message the TD & vote off a player in the "hot seat".
The player in the "hot seat" with the most votes will be booted.
If there is a tie, the 2 players will play a 1on1 Regular Bootem & the 1st person to miss or scratch will loose and get booted.
The last 4 players on the tbl will continue playing as if it was a regular bootem.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
Timer in Boot'em is THREE minutes!

SLINKY

Played on a RATED protected table.
Regular 8 ball except BEFORE the break, each player picks 2 pockets that are OFF limits to opponent.
If a player shoots a ball into those pockets, (even accidentally) then BIH to opponent.
The 8 ball also cannot be shot into those pockets, failure to do this results in a loss, even if yahoo registers it as a win.

QUICKIE CLEARANCE

Played on TRAINING table.
Each player sits and shoots until he/she has cleared the table (one rack each) .
The winner is the person to clear the table in the least number of shots.
You keep shooting even if you miss a shot.
No BIH in this tourney.
Break counts as a shot – opponent to count the shots in txt box.
Scratch counts as two (2) shots.

5-SHOTS

Played on TRAINING TABLE.
Each player to:
1.) sit.
2.) take 5 shots (including break).
Stand & count how many points have been scored.
(8 ball = 5pts, Reds = 3pts and all other balls = 1pt).
The player with the most points after Three (3) racks wins.
If you Scratch on break, it’s a re-rack, scratch at any other time and Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY.
Opponent MUST count the shots in the text box.

REVENGE

Played on RATED tables.
This is played as reg 8 BUT... this is REVENGE SHOOTING which means each time your opponent shoots at the 8 ball you get to call what pocket they have to pot the 8 in.
You have to pot the 8 where your opponent tells you to each time you shoot the 8.
Failure to do this will result in a loss.

REVERSE BOOT 'EM

Td sets Table and invites all players who joined to private training table.
Td ONLY breaks the Rack up, then You shoot in REVERSE order on the table of the names.
If you miss your booted, if You scratch your booted, if you go out of turn your booted.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.
Please pay attention to when your turn is.
The 8 ball is used as “que ball”.

HOSTESS ROULETTE

TD sets up four tables ... one game reg 8, one game 4 corners, one game bank the 8, and one game bnr.
All players play each game (4 different tournies).
Winner of each game plays hostess on her 4 tables.
If you beat hostess then that hostess donates 100 bux to each winner.

FOOTBALL

Played on training table.
Best of 4 racks you shoot till you miss.
You add up all 4 racks to your final score, so the higher number wins.
If you scratch on the break your turn is over.
If you scratch during match and make a ball it does not count.
All the balls previous to the scratch count, but turn is over.
Cue ball goes behind line shooting forward ONLY on a scratch.

BOYS AND GIRLS

Played on Rated and Protected tables.
Play as Reg 8 ... BUT the Boys must sink their BLUE ball last and the Girls must sink their PINK ball last.
If you sink your Blue/Pink early YOU LOSE.
If you sink your opponents Blue/Pink early YOU LOSE.
BIH is ok.

COACH ME PLEASE

Played on Rated Protected Tables.
Played like Regular 8.
You pick any leaguer in the room to coach you - Invite them to table.
A person may only coach one game at a time.
Coach calls ball and pocket on every attempt.
You must attempt to make every shot your coach calls.
If you pot your object ball and another ball keep shooting.
If you make any other shot thats not called, tap out.
No ball in hand on tap. BIH on break is ok.

MIND TWISTER

Played on rated protected tables.
Played like regular straight 8 only the 8 ball must be potted in the CORNER POCKET furthest from the 8's location.
If the 8 is located in the middle of the table you then have a choice of one of the four corners.
Each time you shoot at the 8 you have to shoot for your furthest CORNER POCKET.
If you fail to pot the 8 in your furthest pocket you must forfeit the game to your opponent.

TRAFFIC LIGHTS

All games played on UNRATED PROTECTED tables.
You must pot the Green, Yellow, and Red balls in that order then pot the 8.
The first to do these 4 in order will win.
If wanted, you may use other balls to make these 4 in, like banking into them.
If you make one of your balls out of order you lose!
If an opponet makes one of those balls for you, you can skip it.
(example: if opponet makes yellow, you go green, red, black)
No ball in hand.

ZIG-ZAG

Played on rated protected tables.
The games are played as regular 8 ball.
However ... balls must be made in this order:
Top right, bottom right, top middle, bottom middle, top left, bottom left.
Please type at table which pocket you are attempting.
Tap cue ball if a ball goes in a wrong pocket.
If you sink a ball in a wrong pocket and a ball in the right pocket, play on!
No ball in hand on tap. BIH on break is ok.
