To pray your Rosary, hold them in your hand,
with the crucifix in right hand and remaining in left hand.
1..Select the mystery to be recited..
each has 5 parts
2..Make the sign of the cross with the crucifix..
  • "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit..Amen"
    3..Say the 'Apostles Creed...' on the cross
    4..Say the 'Our Father...' on the first single bead
    5..Say 3 'Hail Marys...' on the 3 beads together
    6..Say the 'Glory be to the Father...' on the chain area after
    7..Announce the first mystery, then say the 'Our Father...'
    on the first bead before the "center"
    8..Say 10 'Hail Marys...' on the first set of 10 beads
    called "a decade"
  • it does not matter which way you go around your rosary
    go as you feel comfortable
    9..Say the "Glory be to...' on the chain area after
    10..Say the 'O my Jesus...' on the chain area also
    11..Announce the second mystery, then say the 'Our Father...'
    on the next single bead
    12..Continue on as steps 8, 9, & 10 until all 5 decades,
    and all 5 mysteries have been recited
    13..Conclude by saying the 'Hail Holy Queen...' on the 'center'
    14..Pray the prayer to St Michael the Archangel(see 'The Saints')
    15..Again make the sign of the cross using crucifix.



    The Joyful mysteries
    Said on Mondays and Thursdays and the Sundays from the first Sunday of Advent
    until Lent

    ~The Annunciation~

    "Do not be afraid Mary, for you have
    found favor with God.
    And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you
    shall call His name Jesus"

    ~The Agony in the Garden~

    Jesus prayed: "Abba, Father, all things
    are possible to You; remove this cup

    ~The Scourging~

    Pilate, wishing to satisfy the
    crowd, released for them Barabbas;
    and having scourged Jesus,
    he delivered Him to be crucified.

    ~The crowning with thorns~

    The soldiers clothed Him in a
    purple cloak, and planting a
    crown of thorns they put it
    on Him. And they began to salute Him,
    "Hail, King of the Jews!".

    ~The carrying of the Cross~

    They took Jesus, and He went out,
    bearing His own cross, to the
    place of the skull, which is called in
    Hebrew Golgatha.

    The Glorious mysteries
    Said on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the Sundays from Easter to Advent

    ~The Resurrection~

    "Do not be afraid; for I know that you
    seek Jesus who was
    crucified. He is not here; for He has
    risen, as He said".

    ~The Ascension~

    As the Apostles looked on, Jesus
    was lifted up, and a cloud took Him
    out of their sight..
    "This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven,
    will come in the
    same way as you saw Him go into heaven".

    ~The Descent of the Holy Spirit~

    Suddenly a sound came from heaven
    like the rush of a mighty wind..
    And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other
    tongues, as the Spirit gave them
    utterance.

    ~The Assumption~

    Since we believe that Jesus died and
    rose again, even so, through Jesus,
    God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep...
    and so we shall always be with the Lord.

    ~The Coronation~

    A great sign appeared in heaven..
    a woman clothed with the sun,
    with the moon under her feet,
    and on her head a crown of twelve
    stars.

    He desceneded into Hell; the third day He arose again from the dead;

    ~The Our Father~
    Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
    Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
    * Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
    as we forgive those who trespass against us.
    And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..Amen

    ~Hail Mary~
    Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;
    blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
    * Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
    now and at the hour of our death..Amen

    ~Glory be~
    Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
    * As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end..Amen

    ~O my Jesus~
    O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell,
    lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy

    ~Hail, Holy Queen~
    Hail holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
    To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
    To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
    Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us.
    And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
    O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

    Oh God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection,
