Jesus asks us to respond in our spirit and in truth.

"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers
will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father
seeks such as these to worship Him"
John 4:23

To worship God-worship in truth-you worship as revealed
in the Bible, with all soul, all mind, all heart.

"pray without ceasing" 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Worship should be accurate and authentic,
using our hearts and heads, with our spirit responding to God,
without distraction of ourselves. The best you can offer
is your love for God, in spirit guided worship,
based on your background and personality from God.
Be yourself, but not self-centered.
You cannot exalt God and yourself at the same time

"Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering, and come into his courts.
Worship the Lord in holy splendor;
tremble before him, all the earth. Psalm 96:7-9
