LEAGUE TOURNAMENT RULES
Our goal for this league is to provide a fun, and friendly
place for Members and Staff alike to play and have a good time.

Please keep in mind the rules of the league.
These are here for your enjoyment of the time you spend in Grapes.

Players may only have ( 1 ) league name, any other names
a person has in the league will be removed.
This is not a rule of this league but a rule of Cases Ladder.

On the league main page, under the heading THE LEAGUE RULES
there is a print out of all the rules.

We urge all new members and existing members to please
review these rules and keep them in mind at all times.

We all understand that there are many personalities
here in the league. Conflicts and differences
will arise from time to time - however
everyone has their own opinions and we respect that.
Its how you choose to voice that opinion that matters to us.

This league has established guidelines and policies
in dealing with these issues.

At NO time will a problem with another player or
a staff member be brought into the lobby.

A warning will be given and players will be asked
to go table or to take it to the IM.
Abuse and disrespect of any form, whether
it be at a table, in the lobby or on
Instant Messenger will not be tolerated.

The staff here works hard and DONATES their time
to provide a variety of games for everyone’s enjoyment.

We ask that everyone show the same respect to fellow players
and staff members that they expect shown to themselves.

Golden Rule: Treat others like you want to be treated.

Drama, abuse and unsportsmanlike behavior
is not acceptable.

Disrespecting the league is by talking badly about
players, Staff or the league itself. Even negative
talk about players,hosts or the league in the lobby
is discouraged and is frowned upon.

It prevents people from joining and drives
away those members who have just joined.
No one wants to deal with drama. They want a
place to relax, play and have fun .

This league has a ZERO TOLERANCE for any form of
abuse and breaking these rules can result in
either being boxed or kicked from the league.

There is always a Staff Member present that is
more than happy to discuss any problems that arise.
Refusal to adhere to these rules or to discuss the problem
in private can also result in a player being boxed
or kicked from the league.

We are all here to have a good time, and being
courteous to each other makes
the league a much nicer place to be.

REGISTERING FOR A TOURNAMENT

There are several ways to register to play in a tournament as noted below:

QUICK JUMP:
All you need to know is the tourney jump number. You can get it by asking
for the tour # in the Pogo lobby chat prior to the tournament.

TOURNAMENT CALENDAR:
You click on the link of the tournament you wish to Join.
It will open the Tournament page. Click on the registration link.
this will open the Registration page. Enter your name and password,
be sure to check the BOX next to rules Enter

TOURNAMENT LINK/INVITE

This is sent to you by the Hosts. This is the easiest one to use and is the fastest.
Just click on the blue link and register with name and password.
THIS REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE AN INSTANT MESSENGER
AND HAVE IT TURNED ON.

TABLE SETTINGS

LADDER MATCHES

This is a game between 2 League Members,
Outside of a Tournament. The NON-WINNER reports their
loss to the Ladder via the link on the League page.
There are a couple ways of reporting your loss.

1. In Case's section, in The Ladder, Click on report loss link.
Enter your Ladder name and password, your
opponents name then click SUBMIT THIS LOSS.

2. On the League page at the League Calendar Section
in the REPORT LOSS BOX. Just fill in the information needed.

TOURNAMENT TYPES

SINGLE ELIM: You only get 1 loss, then you ae eliminated from the tour.

DOUBLE ELIM; You get 2 losses before you are eliminated from the tour.

SWISS TOURS: There are 2 types of SWISS tours. .

REGULAR SWISS: You get to play each round, win or lose,
until a winner is determined.
TRUE SWISS: A pre-set amount of rounds. Then the
same as regular. With a True Swiss you
can still win the tour after one loss.

BYE: In a tour its an automatic win, due to an odd number
of players in the tour.

****SINGLES and DOUBLES you cannot be withdrawn
from the tourney. If you have to leave during these tours,
you will forfeit the rest of your matches.

SPECIAL TOURNAMENTS
TOC - Tournament of Champions

Tournament winners from the previous month gets to play in this
INVITATION ONLY TOURNAMENT.
Winners will receive the #1 rank on the ladder plus a big buxs
bonus from TD donations.

KING & QUEEN Tournament

There will be 2 tourneys running at the same time.
Ladies register in the Tour listed as QUEENS SIDE
Men register in the Tour listed as KINGS SIDE
There are 2 Winners, one from each side. As a winner
the King & Queen will reign for 1 month.
As Royalty the winners will play for FREE. All entry fees
will be refunded weekly for one month. A bonus to each applies also.

TEAM Tournament

There are two types of TEAM TOURS.
One is you and someone of your choice decide to be pardners and you
register with a Team Name. Usually something cute and clever..

The other type is a RANDOM TEAM tour , this is where you just
register and the computer will pick your pardner from the list of
registered members. Both types are lots of fun.

The basic rules to a Team Tour is the same as a normal game..
The only differnce is you switch (one stands then the other sits)
at the 1/2 way point. Such as set for 250 and you would switch at 125..
You also take turns on which of you starts first.
Last is when the table is set you check TO ALLOW PLAYERS TO SEE HANDS.

FAST n FURIOUS

This is a series of Single tournaments.
One set every 30 minutes by a different Host.
Tours start at 8pm Eastern time.

EVENTS FOR CELEBRATION

This is a tournament that we have the last Thursday of each month
to celebrate all the Birthdays, Anniversaries and League Anniversaries
of our Members for that month. Be sure and have your
Name and dates added to the calendar.

LEAGUE vs LEAGUE

This is a tournament we play against another League.
Winner gets the Traveling Trophy. That is BRAGGING rights for a month.
Each month we rotate playing locations.
To play in an "AWAY" game you will need to sign up in the Hosting League.

MEMBERS vs TD's

This tour is a competition between the Members and the Hosts.
The tour is held 3 times a year to see who is the "best".
Winner gets bragging rights until the next tour.

LEAGUE GAMES The games listed here are the more popular
of the games we play in the League.
When you think you have heard them all,
Our Hosts will find something new for you.

REVERSE--
You try NOT to win. First person to reach game called loses.

ADD'EM UP--
Play 2 games, Highest total score from both games wins the match.

69 RULES--
Land exactly on 69 during match and you win.

POP--
Land on a double digit ie: 11, 22 33 etc.
You win or lose according to game called by Host.

TARGET--
The host will pick a target area ie 82-89. If you score in that area you win.
However, if you go over the target area You lose.

MAGIC TABLE--
Land on your table number, you Win.

250 SLAM DUNK--
Set table to 250, play to 250 or slam dunk.
Slam Dunk is being 100 points ahead of your opponents score.
That is a Win or play on to 250.

100 LUCKY TABLE POP--
Pick a table numbered from 1-99
NO numbers ending in 5 or 0's can be used.
Table number is POP

100 DUNGEONS & DRAGONS--
Set table to 100 play to 100 or ESCAPE thru the tunnels.
54 & 56 are the Escape tunnels out of the dungeons.
WATCH OUT FOR THE DRAGONS
55 is the Dragon, Land on that and you are roasted
by the Dragon and you lose.

125 U-TURN (AKA: FORWARD/REVERSE - TURNABOUT)--
Set the table for 250. Start playing the game to 125.
Once both players cross 75 then you switch to REVERSE.
Once playing in reverse the first to 125 Loses.
NO Sandbagging because if your opponent
hits 125 before you get to 75 then you automatically lose.

QUICKSAND--
The Quicksand is a series of numbers
ie 61-62-63-64-65-66-67-68-69.
Land in the quicksand and you lose.

BEST 2/3 --
You play up to 3 games the person with 2 wins advances
The other loses.

CRAZY EIGHTS--
Land on any number ending in 8 and you
either Win or Lose according to game called.
