BLUE LINE CORRECTIONS





WHEN HOSTING A THREE ROUND TRUE SWISS TOURNAMENT WITH FOUR PLAYER,
YOU WILL USUALLY END UP WITH BLUE LINES, WHEN ADVANCING TO ROUND 3.
BLUE LINES INDICATE THAT PLAYERS HAVE ALREADY COMPETED AGAINST EACH
OTHER IN THAT TOURNAMENT.

REMEMBER...ACCORDING TO CASES GENERAL SWISS SYSTEM PAIRING RULES,
THE NUMBER ONE RULE TO FELLOW REGARDING PAIRINGS IS THAT PLAYERS
SHOULD NEVER PLAY THE SAME PERSON TWICE

THIS IMAGE SHOWS BLUE LINES THAT WILL USUALLY OCCUR. TO AVOID
HAVING BLUE LINES, WHICH INDICATE THAT PLAYERS HAVE ALREADY
PLAYED EACH OTHER. YOU SHOULD "SWAP" PLAYERS.

WHEN CHOOSING A PLAYER TO SWAP YOU WOULD LOOK AT THE PLAYER(S) WHO HAS
THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF WINS SO FAR. IN THIS CASE, BENT HAS THE MOST WINS.
THE BOX ON THE LEFT INDICATED THE OPPONENTS THAT EACH HAS PLAYED SO FAR.
BENT HAS ALREADY PLAYED ANTON ( IN ROUND 1 ) AND COCA ( IN ROUND 3).

SINCE BURT IS THE ONLY PLAYER LEFT THAT BENT HAS NOT PLAYED, YOU WOULD
SWAP PLAYER 1: ANTON AND PLAYER 2: BURT

THAT SWAP WOULD RESULT IN THE REMOVAL OF THE BLUE LINES
AND YOU CAN THEN ADVANCE THE TOURNAMENT!
