Aces Rule

Rules of play Regular euchre except you cannot be the first person to trump an Ace unless you are trump tight (only have trump left in your hand). If someone else is trump tight, and trumps an Ace before your turn -- you may trump then as well, even if you're not trump tight. Please note that TD may kibitz.
Table Settings Rated, STD and protected. First name/team in pairings makes table and may choose seat; if table not made in two minutes then TD will make and first into room will sit first. Please leave kibitz function ON.
TD must be invited to the table to check settings and post rules before the game begins.

Mistakes
~1 mistake allowed per tournament including all Swiss, DE, and formats. 2nd mistake will be a DQ. In 2v2 - this means 1 mistake for your team, not per person.
~a disqualified person may sub in final only if no other player is available.
~TD must provide instructions when there is a mistake. Play will skip to the non-offending team.
~No mistakes in quickie tournaments for non-subs. A sub will be allowed one mistake in this tourney type. A second mistake by a sub is a disqualification (dq) for the tourney.

Timers
~1v1, all Swiss formats and DE = 10 minutes per player for the entire tournament, of which only 3 minutes per game is allowed per substitute.
~Timer begins when pairings are announced in the lobby.
~2v2 timer = 10 minutes for the team as a whole. Hitting 10 minutes will result in a DQ for both members of the team.
~No subs for 2v2.

Basics and expectations
~No table talking - any chatter about your hand before the cards are played or chatter that could affect the outcome of the hand is considered to be table talk.
~Do not click Force Forfeit.
~Remember the Golden Rule - Please treat others as you wish to be treated. Extreme profanity, disrespect, or any kind of harassment will not be tolerated. If you're having a problem with a member, ask a TD for assistance and keep the conflict off the table and out of the lobby.
~No messaging, camming, or anything of that nature while playing as concentration is divided, which is unfair to other players, and slow play may result.
~No kibitzing by players or onlookers. The tourney TD may kibitz at his/her own discretion.
~No slow play, please. A steady pace of play is expected. Please make sure your computer is in good working order before joining a tournament. Chronic slow play can result in time taken off of the timer and potential DQ.
~1 tournament at a time only - please wait until you're out of one tournament before registering for the next.
~Loners - we do not have a rule against calling alone on 8 or 9. This is a strategic aspect and a matter of personal opinion.
~TD has final say over problems and issues as they arise.
~Most importantly -- HAVE FUN! If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, complaints, or want to pat us on the back - please use the link on the main page or email us at loe_euchre@yahoo.com.
